Haven't gotten around to it, to be honest. To say i've been busy lately would be a GROSS understatement.

Almost $1000 worth of parts stolen off the MX6 that i had to replace, ended up pretty much rebuilding the car entirely, then i've been fighting with the Escort nonstop for the last couple months, dealing with deferred maintainence and prepping it for the motor swap, drove 1500 miles this past weekend to pick up a donor car for said swap, working stupid hours still, etc etc etc.

I honestly haven't done ANYTHING to my rig in months, since i picked up the 51FD. Celica hasn't been touched, either. :(

I'll be sure to karma off a pan or two come fall, though. :) Everything should be slowed down by that point, and i should be out of this apartment so i don't have to run around like crazy to try to work on the cars.

Geez man, and you're really STILL DEALING with that guy that doesn't want to finish paying off the car? That's been going on for months now.

The mazda, that was the one at your friends' dads garage right?

Damn, well hope things turn out for the better. Hopefully the next place you get doesn't have an oddly-shaped living room :p

Oh... if you want that car, go get it. It's in an impound lot in Napa Valley. Though it's probably auctioned by now. I never got my money, found out through the grapevine that it got impounded, and he can't get it out because he doesn't have the title. But yet, he had the money to buy TWO celica Alltracs in the meantime. So... screw it. I'm out $400 in wheels and suspension. Whatever. Learning experience. I thought about going out there and springing the car when i heard about it, but then realized that i didn't even want the car, and the price i would get from selling it would maybe only offset the price to go get it by about $500.

So... seriously. If you want a possible free car, let me know, i'll PM you the vin when i get a chance. If you find it, and it hasn't been auctioned, i'll mail you the title. Who knows what impound fees will be at this point, but i'm sure it's less than the car is worth.

And yep, that mazda. I'm daily driving it now, so that's done for the most part. Waiting to get some more parts in so i can drive it 100% safely, but it's fine just limping around right now on only 10psi.

Yeah, the living room is annoying, but i've been fine with it for the moment, since i haven't had the urge to get any HUGE speakers. :p

Here's the tail end of the mazda rebuild:

Ugh, it was coming out so well too. Had I known you posted it on P.A. I would've tried to keep up with things.

I'll pass on the escort though lol.

I got myself a car out here. I just got it back cause (my cousins husband) wanted the turbo back he had installed.

    It's a 2003 Ford Focus ZX3 SE, currently with 69k miles (I put 1k already) and it was only $4k :)

I came across a forum dedicated to fixing these things up - focaljet.com

They've got everything from stock to ricer to V8s in those things. I've done nothing to the car other than put in a budget friendly system. Just a JLAudio sub running off a Kenwood amp and Kenwood speakers for the door panels and rear deck.

Oh wait... i think i confused you. :p

The Escort, we're keeping. The black Celica, i'm keeping, and still have. The MX6, i'm keeping. The MX3, i'm tearing apart to give new life to the Escort.

The car in impound out there is a 91 red Celica Convertible.

    ZX3s aren't bad cars. :)

That's right lol I got them confused for a bit there.

Yeah, I don't mind the ZX3....it's styling has finally grown on to me. Funny thing is alot of people on the forum would prefer the ZX3 over any other model, even the SVT since for alot less coin you can fix up the ZX3 to easily outperform an SVT Focus. That and alot of parts are interchangeable between the 2 specifically, FordSVTParts.com here I come! Jk lol

Drive an SVT first and decide if you like it before you go that route.... SVTs feel soft to me. They're better than most stock cars, for sure, but knowing that you were/are a gearhead, i don't think you'll want it. ;)

Since I'm far too lazy to look it up.... what the hell is "scapple"? Is it like Spam?
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. It is absolutely delicious; it is not at all like spam. Really it's the PA Dutch's answer to the Italian polenta except all the scraps and I mean all of them from the pig are used with spices and cornmeal.

OH, that was a spectacular lunch!

Had a burger like no other I've ever had at Village Whiskey on 20th St in Philly!

Burger cooked perfectly at medium well covered in the most delightful bleu cheese from Rogue and garnished with maple bourbon glazed cipollini, applewood bacon and foie gras! Yes, decadent and quite expensive but totally worth it! Had a side of fries cooked in duck fat with a homemade ketchup that was bitter but had a zing to it. I think it was made with basalmic vinegar instead of typical white vinegar. Top that off with a Manhattan, perfect, made with their in-house distilled whiskey with a slice of lemon rind.

    Oh, what a lunch!

You wanna go? Just let me know! I'll meet you there!

Speaking of haute burger joints. Me and some out of town friends went to this place for lunch last weekend...
    http://www.flipburgerboutique.com/

Check out the menu. Foie gras milkshake anyone? Quick frozen at your table with liquid nitrogen. Skipping that, I had the chorizo burger, panko and parmesan zucchini fries with a nutella shake. Yummers.

For the record, I hear the Krispy Kreme milkshake is where it's at.

I don't travel. Well, not anymore, used to but everything I post about now is in Philly. The city made of food.

But if you want a job where you travel alot, go work for a company that has professional services that send people all over to client sites or get a job with a defense contractor and get in to a department that handles test events. I traveled the pacific Rim on the U.S. Government's dine, courtesy of the U.S. Navy on a job like that.
