I hear what you are saying DJ, but we don't & never will really know for sure if it was JUST the 2 of them. It may have snowballed & others may have started complaining so rather than listen to all the whining TPTB made the decision to close them.

But to get so bent out of shape for losing a couple of crass if harmless threads is just as bad.

"Oh CP has become TOO politcally correct, I'm leaving!" Nothing like cutting off your nose to spite your face.

The only ones affected are those that have left or cut back on their participation. The club has continued to grow & flourish.

RS & Sona would be tickled pink to know that you guys are still complaining about this whole thing after all this time.

In the end you all have let THEM WIN!

I'm all for improving this forum too. Btw, I don't find it so bad, if there's a topic I don't like, I just don't participate in it.

I do have a suggestion for improving the quality of the forum, perhaps we can make it a "rule". "NO POSTING ALLOWED IF YOU ARE DRUNK".

He questioned my charitable contributions in the evening, and was banned by the next morning. Think that would happen today? Bet your **** I miss the good old days around here.

I think this whole thread is a troll of sorts. While the thread concerning Darqueknight's intelligent review of speaker cables got out of hand a couple of months back and there were a couple of concurrent threads out of hand during the same time, it is perceived that the overall atmosphere has gotten to be more or less on a helpful and productive footing since.

The tags are out of hand though. Does CP have a means to track who posted the tag? If it doesn't then they should be removed from this forum. All I perceive from many of the tags are commentary by folk who do not have the courage to post what they are really thinking with their handle/ID associated with them via a real post.

Stop feeding the trolls and they will die. I'm with Wing... I view the music and Video Game forums and pop in here a bit as well. I have completed my HT for the time being, and just relax and chill. Life has too much **** going on with it as it is... why add drama online? If I can find a few laughs at night when I log on.. perfect. If I can't, eh... no need to linger.

I know these threads come around a few times a year and everyone jumps on the bandwagon of discussing how good the place was and how far it has deteriorated. This question goes out to nobody in particular, just a question. What does it accomplish what's the point of posting half naked women? (although admittedly I moss the TBT just as much as the next guy) IMHO, it's stupid to keep rehashing this crap...........just saying.

If this is in fact a "wealth of BS" now, then find another forum that meets expectations. Or stick around and keep contributing.

I completely agree cfrizz. I have been here only a short time but have recieved a lot of great advice and have read some very imformative threads. I have also read some threads that were not worth the time to do so. Personally, I choose to ignore the later and move on to something I find interesting.

As far as trolls are concearned, I treat them the same as I would when encountered in other areas of life, their ignored. Giving any attention to their behaviour, only serves to reinforce it. They will move on much quicker if their not getting the responce their looking for.

" Troll: someone seeking attention with outrageous and/or silly posts. In other words, a sad individual who has no interest in an actual answer to the question being asked but has a pathological need for even ridicule and hostility in lieu of friendship and/or other forms of positive attention. In short, someone needing to yank chains merely to reaffirm that he or she is visible to the rest of society.

And the cure for such sad illness is not to reward the annoying activity with attention but to hope that ignoring such a Dostoyevskian character will send them where they really need to be: the psychiatrist's couch......" quote from another bulletin board.

keiko, i just wonder why you feel the need to post pics of half naked women and men that are completely meaningless and irrelevant to the numerous posts / threads that you display them in. Are you trying to compensate for something? It's actually a little disturbing that you have a seemingly endless supply of these pictures at your disposal.
