It's not that I don't want to put them in my loadout, it's just that in the past I have used them and it seems to take me out of the game too long having to find a safe spot to use it, wait for it to come in and then go get it and use it. Seems better to me to just use the ones I don't really have to stop what I am doing just to use (except for the Predator of course) and I don't have to worry about anyone taking it from me before I get a chance to use it.

    -Jeff

The maps aren't that big that it takes any time to drop one. I don't know, you must have had some bad experiences or something, but Care Packages and E-Drops are the **** in this game.

Exactly, I use the pred missile and I feel that already takes too much time. Other then ground war, its pretty much anyones game who takes it.

On a side note, I am officially addicted to this game again, and for the wrong reasons. I started to really search for nuke boosters yesterday and its the funnest I've had with this game period. Nothings more satisfying then stopping them before their nuke. My winn/loss ratio has dropped significantly since I leave games if they aren't boosting but I don't care. I recommend all of you who play FFA often to have your own nuke hunter class, you won't regret it.

I haven't seen that many nuke boosters. How do you pick them out during a game?

from what I've seen its just two guys that probably know each other that stand there and let the one kill him over and over and over again until they can get the nuke.

Normal signs is KD ratio and seeing the one guy with like 30 deaths and no kills and then another guy on their team that kills the same one over and over again.
For the most part thats what I've seen and they like to try and stay in the same spot on the map by like a corner or out of the way so others won't kill them. I haven't seen it too much, I just see mostly care package glitches all the time.

What I do even if I don't feel like going after them is when I start the game, instead of immediatly picking my class, I go into spectator mode. You can switch between all the players and see their class. If you see them do it then look where they are at and go straight there. If its beginning of game, just switch to see if anyone has tatical insertion, and watch them for a bit.

When choosing your gear, make sure to have cold blooded and sitrep and you're set. I like using rpg and c4 to make it that much more enjoyable;)

He He!!! That rocks. How do you go into spectator mode? I've never tried that or known it exists? I might go hunting next time I play!

When it asks for your class, just press B (well, if you have 360, whatever the back button is), then use A and B to switch between players. If you see tactical insertion on bottom right (looks like a green lit dynamite) thats your man.

I agree with Demi. Never had a problem with care packages, although once in a while an E-drop bounces over a fence (when you aren't anywhere near it) or something stupid where you can't get it.

That said, I don't use care packages if I am playing really well since they don't add to your killstreak rewards. I'll usually go with harrier, pave-low, ac-130 then.

Ehhh, to each his own I guess. It's just frustrating working up for a care package and having someone kill you and call in your Pavelow (or whatever), and then kill you with it, lol. I had two different people steal care packages from me one game, one stole my predator and the other stole my sentry gun. Dude who stole my predator, killed me with said predator and I was the game winning kill with the sentry gun the other guy stole from me. IMHO, care packages are cool and all, but too risky.

do people use the standard controller setup or tactical? I use standard but I'm thinking about switching to tactical. Although I imagine it will be painful at first getting used to it.

I never bothered. I was used to halo 2 so everything felt right except the melee was more conviently place as the control stick button (or R3) instead of moving your thumb off and pressing B.

I finally got a nuke today. I never had higher then 24 kill streak. Then for some reason I decided to select a nuke, and got it after three games. I was so lucky and I'll probably never get one again haha

I should be on around 8 CST, as long as my internet doesn't act up. They have been "monitoring" it for a week, still no fix for my sporadically slow download speeds.
