I'll add you today grimace. I was on almost all day and thanks to some mess that kept me up, I was on till 330a. I typically just play deathmatch as I get the most points that way. Sometimes hardcore but the camping is insane in comparison to mw1.

Grimmace, fitty and I played a few matches today and I doubt they'll play with me again. Just to pick on some weak **** clan, I ran my mouth which only pissed them off and played worse until a couple camping maps. I had fun but not sure if they did. Lol. Only good thing about being sick is you can log serious COD time.

haha sorry for keep logging in and out. Yesterday, I played like 2 games, then watched the end of the USA vs Canada game. Then when I logged back in...I only had like 5-10 minutes to play. I was cooking dinner for my fiancee :). That's why I just signed off, didn't mean to be rude or anything :).

And yeah, I heard that "GOON" clan talking ****. They're idiots and were lucky I didn't shoot my RPG down in that tunnel..would've gotten a triple kill to end the game.

Also, is the Playstation Network still down?

No, in fact Sony is recommending people not use their systems (non-slim) until this crap is sorted out.

    http://blog.us.playstation.com/

I mucked around with my system this morning trying to get it to work, hours before they released the "don't touch" statement. Pretty crappy situation for sure.

    PlayStation Network Dies

    By Mike Bantick

    Your IT - Entertainment

A system wide crash of the PlayStation Network is affecting online play for PS3 owners, access to the PlayStation Store and even some problems with offline games. What do you want for free?

Over the past 24 hours there have been various problems with the PlayStation Network, Sony Corp’s network for online gaming and access to digital download software.

This has presented problems for people playing online games and access to the store as well as issues with games that support dynamic trophies, such as Heavy Rain.

More problematic will be online only games such as MAG (Massive Action Game) or those trying to get hold of the new God of War III demo

At this point Sony themselves are still not sure what the problem is, the following tweets having appeared on the official Twitter page.

"We're aware that many of you are having problems connecting to PSN, and yes, we're looking into it. Stay tuned for updates."

    Followed by:

"PSN status update: We're narrowing down the issue and continue to work to restore service to all. Updates as soon as we have them."

    And then:

"PSN status update (part 2): Readers/followers are confirming that "slim" units (120/250 GB models) are connecting normally."

have any of you guys prestiged yet? I finally did a few days ago just so no one can make the excuse to call me a "noob" for not prestiging;). ehh it will be the last for me.The extra class slot is nice, but I just don't find any enjoyment of getting all my guns and perks "leveled" back up. That and I didn't realize how valuablle cold blooded and especially the stinger was, damn.

Oh yeah, sorry for cutting out on some of you a few days ago. I was playing with another friend and by the time I was able to play with you guys, you were all on the other team kicking my ****... Next time won't be so easy!

I'm on my second prestige. It keeps the game interesting and more fun for me. As soon as I re-unlocked the nuke last night, I dropped 2 in a row. Makes it more exciting trying to do with without everything you'd want for it.

I myself haven't prestiged, eventhough I have had the ability to do so for quite awhile now. I like the mystery behind the level 70 first time around, lol. Nobody knows if I am a BA who is a lifetime level 70 or someone who has just maed it there and is waiting to prestige. I don't see the point and most people I have talked to that have prestiged have regretted it. I prestiged in MW1 and it took me forever to get my stuff back up to snuff. I suck bad enough at this game and don't need any help in doing so, lol.

I'm almost able to prestige. Think I will just one time so that I can get an extra class. I think I'll probably be too burned out though to earn back all the perks and guns I like though. Had a good session this morning, but I still think I'm getting a little tired of the current maps. When are new maps supposed to be out?

G4's The Feed, which has been in communication with a source at Infinity Ward, reports that organizational changes may be in effect at the FPS developer's offices. The source claims that a "bunch of 'bouncer-types' just showed up outside of the Infinity Ward offices unannounced. When approached by employees, the non-uniformed 'bouncers' were unwilling to disclose why they were there." In addition, The Feed notes that Infinity Ward's studio heads, Vince Zampella and Jason West, were not seen by fellow staff members after a meeting with Activision on Monday morning. A desk guard at Infinity Ward's offices was unable to confirm any of the events to Joystiq, and calls to community manager Robert Bowling went unanswered at the time of writing.

Apparently, on Monday Activision filed a Form 10-K with the SEC, which is basically an overview of the company's financial condition, and includes any information that could possibly affect that condition. This filing states, "In November 2009, the Company released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, a game developed by one of the Company's wholly-owned studios, Infinity Ward. As noted above, Modern Warfare 2 was the best selling console title in the U.S. and Europe in 2009. Consistent with past practice, the Company intends to release a Call of Duty game in 2010 developed by another wholly-owned studio. The Company is concluding an internal human resources inquiry into breaches of contract and insubordination by two senior employees at Infinity Ward. This matter is expected to involve the departure of key personnel and litigation. At present, the Company does not expect this matter to have a material impact on the Company."

Co-studio head Jason West has reportedly changed both his Facebook status and LinkedIn page to indicate that he is no longer employed. As soon as we get more news, we'll pass it along.

This so deserves a separate headline just because it's a colossal giant mess with tons of intrigue and drama.

We're still not entirely sure what happened between Activision and Infinity Ward but at the very least, we know it was a falling out of some kind. Last night, we learned that IW bosses Vince Zampella and Jason West never returned from a meeting with Activision; after which, some "bouncer types" showed up at IW and really freaked everyone out. Well, now it seems that both Zampella and West have been fired and there may even be a lawsuit that follows. Why? Like we said, it's a mess. You may want to read through the updates over at Binge Gamer, because there's a lot to go over. Firstly, it seems the developers haven't received any royalties for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 yet; a game that has earned Activision over $1 billion in revenue thus far. Maybe it's just a contractual thing and IW isn't supposed to receive any royalties just yet, but we can't be sure. Secondly, although Activision owns Infinity Ward, the development studio is technically autonomous; they're merely held in place by a contract that expires in October. The problem seems to revolve around the Call of Duty franchise: Activision may want the rights to the name but Infinity Ward holds them. If IW doesn't want to do a Modern Warfare 3, Activision probably does and needs another developer...hence, they need those rights.

The last part is downright nasty- according to recent SEC paperwork filed by Activision, there were "breaches of contract and insubordination by two senior employees at Infinity Ward." An inside source believes IW may have been in talks with a "rival publisher," which is likely the breach Activision is claiming. Interestingly enough, come October when the Acti/IW contract dissolves, Infinity Ward could hire Zampella and West back. Maybe they'll just take a little vacation for now...? Anyway, we're certain there's more to this story but we'll let it lie for now until either party comes forward with something official.

yeah, everything should be fine now. Look at the date/time when you turn on your PS3, if its wrong, make sure you update via internet and you should be good to go.

Apparently the fix was just waiting for the calendar to flip another day. One day of downtime isn't the end of the world, but it seems like this was the "planned" fix and the whole "we're looking into a fix" was just stalling by Sony.

Wonder if this will happen every two years.

no, just go to settings > Date and Time > update via internet on the PS3 itself. I think everyone affected by the bug will find their date set to 3/2/2020 or something like that when they first turn on their PS3 today.

I had a killer game last night. I got 30 kills and only 8 deaths. I was kickin' so much butt that I had no idea what was going on. Was able to call in emerg. drop. I got all the packages unleashed gunner/helicopter and By then we won the game I still had more to unleash! I think its called the Afgan. where there is a plane in the middle and there is a cave. I was doing so well I thought I was watching someone else play.
