That knife thing must be a console thing as I don't see it much when playing on PC. Shots are far more accurate on PC so you'll get killed fast if you start running around with a knife. It's used but as intended, only for close kills when warranted, it doesn't work as a cheat.

Guess you won't see me on for a while. Got the RROD this morning............. of all the times for this to happen, it's now: when we just had a baby on Tues and my wife will be out of commission for a few weeks. (We don't have cable or satellite cuz I'm a cheap SOB and don't watch much TV, so we just use the netflix instant viewing a lot).

    Off to Microsoft we go................

I hit the wall the other day playing this and decided to change up my style to try and keep it fresh. Marathon/Lightweight/Steady Aim with the UMP/Spaz. I only pull out the UMP when someone can take me out from a distance, but mostly run around with the Spaz blasting people in the chest.

My K/D has gone down while using this combo, but it is hella-fun. Nothing beats seeing a body get blown backwards from the Spaz.

This is pretty much how i play ANY FPS game ever. Ballistic UT-style.

that little red thing that looks like an infrared input on the front of the xbox is actually a spycam set up by Bill Gates and his goons to time your RRoD with a press of a button. "they know". a baby? they know you won't be purchasing anything new from them so they are punishing you. if you were to sport a onesie with the MS logo on it or something, sit back and watch how your 360 miraculously comes back to life. i have no idea why i just posted any of this.

good thing about having a baby-momma at home (congrats on the baby, yo!) is when it is returned by microsoft someone will be there to sign for it. it must be signed for. also, like you, i am a cheap sob and watch OTA high def locals and spend monies on blu-rays and blockbuster.

Congrats on the new baby! Boy or girl?

Sorry about the XBox. These new Jasper units are quiet and flawless so far. I had a launch unit that crapped out last summer. Out of warranty. Hopefully they send you back a new unit instead of a refurb.

I hope they send a new unit, but I won't hold my breath. I should get it back quick tho, the service center is 45 minutes from here. Hopefully it doesn't take UPS a week to get it there..................

Did you guys notice the new glitch going on now, the care package glitch. I guess it isn't new, but EVERYONE is doing it(well in team based games). This game is broke as ****, I think its time to give up. Its a fun game and all but its just too easy to cheat.

Sure why not as long as you promise not to do it ;)

I haven't tried it myself but apperantly when you get a care package you go to a place where it say press A to go over... Once you press A you hit the care package button and I guess when you throw it another one will pop up immediately. This might not be the exact process but something like it.

Anyways, after a while you won't even hear the announcement that care package is being dropped since it happens so quickly and they are calling every damn killstreak in the book. Cold blooded is a must now.

I have one here in a box, unopened, want to borrow it until you get yours back? I think I need to hook it up at least to see if it works, and test if PC controls work on it. Anyone know if PS3 or PC wheels and pedals work with XBOX 360? If they do, I'll run to Fry's tomorrow and pick up that new racing game, I'm tired of waiting for the new GT.

it's on the ps3, and it works with emergency airdrops. i jumped into a game late and some fucktard was running around with the blinged out 1887's dropping mulitple emergency airdrops. guy was 54-10 half way through the game on favela with chopper gunner after chopper gunner.

i stayed just long enough to see the 2nd chopper gunner coming in immediately after the first left. it was happening in a couple games i jumped into on sunday.

guaranteed this does not get fixed with the next patch. as much as i've enjoyed playing this game, it's an embarassment in terms of the number of exploits in it.

I agree, I was going to play last night. Ended up playing **** Zombies on World At War. Too many lame cheats in the game and they need to do some serious patches.

Hmmmm, can't say I have run into this yet. All the hacks are really making this game less and less fun everytime I play it. Seems like too many people are obsessed with running up their stats and being the best online player out there. Too bad I suck and only play for fun, lol.

Completely agree. I play domination to try and avoid the camping, running up of killstreaks, etc, but it doesn't seem to matter anymore. Everyone either tries to find exploits, or like you said, run up thier K/D ratio so they can be the awesomest on the internets.

Nothing beats some loser kid boosting for a nuke and then bragging about how many he has in the lobby after.

I can't wait to retire this game when BFBC2 comes out.

Just a side note, I tried the unlimited care package glitch last night on MW2 for the PS3 and it did not work. I was able to get it to work on Split Screen mode, but tried it online to no avail. Sniffing around on Google I found that the glitch was fixed with update 1.06. My son says it still works on XBox, but appears that Sony has fixed it. Didn't try the Emergency airdrop since I don't have it set up as one of my killstreak rewards, that and I have a hard enough time getting 7 in a row for my attack helocopter, lol.

Sony doesn't fix anything and neither does Microsoft. The patches are put together by Infinity Ward.

I think there is two different care package glitches - one was fixed with 1.06, and I'm fairly certain the new one is still active.

The first one involved dropping a package next to a weapon that was lying on the ground. The new one has something to do with hopping over a wall and throwing the package at the same time.

That is exactly the one I tried, and it didn't work online. Worked all day long on SS, so I think it is fixed. Thankfully.

I'm not sure why all the hubbub about wireless. Yea, wired is better, but wireless is faster than most people's internet anyways (excluding Sherard!!!). I have rarely had problems with my wireless, and when I have I just had to do a reset.

    Maybe I'm just lucky tho.

Same here. I was playing wireless during the original xbox days and had nothing but problems. Some days would work fine (rare), then others it wouldn't connect at all or cut off right in the middle of a game. I tried buying a long cable and had the adaptor and router within 10 feet of eachother and in line of sight.. made no difference.

Since I moved out of that house the tv and computer are a lot closer together so the xbox is connected straight to the router, haven't had a problem since.
