I guess I have been lucky as I haven't seen the lightweight/stabbing combo as being used a lot or that big of a deal. (But now that I say that, I'm sure I'll get hosed with it non-stop.)

Yes, I jinxed myself. Playing with Grim the night before, had 3 maps in a row that I was getting tore up with this.

I get torn to pieces by these people. The shotguns got so nerfed they don't even really defend against it. Claymores are useless, they run right through them. The only way to get them is to see them way in advance.

I have to agree I hate these people. I haven't noticed it as much when I've played hardcore and neither has my friends, but in normal matches I want to throw my control sometimes it gets soooo annoying.

My solution to these aholes is to setup a class just like theirs and return the favor.

I disagree. There's two things I don't use which is noob tubing and cheap melee. And though they might get a few kills on me, I'll still be on top of the list.

Prove to those **** heads you don't need cheap perks to kick their ****

Grenade launcher on an assault rifle IMO has gotten a bad rep and I don't agree for the reasons. It has it's place and time but if you only go around and get a few kills with the 2 grenades you have before you die, it's a bad practice.

On COD4 I raked up quite long kill streaks on certain maps. An accurate assault rifle plus a few grenades made you last a long time if played right. It also got you killed fast if you just tried to use the launcher.

I believe in the art of trying to stay alive over raking up as many kills as possible. It seems to be lost on most people playing online, all they know is rush, rush, rush.

I came close to this tonight. Had one of these guys in my game and he kept ending up on the other team. I ended up camping in a corner, he kept coming for me and I kept slaughtering him with the M1014 FMJ. So many buzzkills, it was comical. He ended up leaving the 4th game after every game he had a negative score.

I just stopped playing altogether. MW2 offers nothing (imo), over COD4. Besides, it's not worth playing on the PC without dedicated servers. The latency issues and random host drops is pandemic.

I have no problem paying for maps if they are high-quality. People should be paid for their effort!

Though I think the maps from COD4 are better, none came from that map pack. Chinatown and that wide open one were my least favorite of the whole game. Luckily I got them when they were half off.

But I'll prolly be paying full price for this game since good maps are few and far between in this game...

Just recently found the Javelin to use as a weapon... somewhat fun if you place it in the right area... it's like a predator missile attack whenever you want.

There's really nothing wrong with them at all. There just aren't enough of them. After you play it long enough you'll see what we mean.

I thought Chinatown came with the first patch? Broadcast, Chinatown, Creek and Killhouse. Didn't care for Chinatown or Killhouse but Broadcast and especially Creek were my favourites.

I like the maps on MW2 over 1 just because theres a bit more to them. I prefer having more buildings to go in but this leaves more areas to camp.

Map packs are coming, here is a blurb from Wiki.

"Activision has announced that two downloadable map packs will be released for Modern Warfare 2.[71] At E3 2009, Microsoft stated that these map packs would first be made available for the Xbox 360 via Xbox Live before they would be released for other platforms.[72] Robert Bowling has stated that the community response to the game and the first two downloadable map packs would be used in designing other potential map packs. [73] On November 25, Bowling released a tentative date of spring 2010 as for when the first downloadable content pack would be out.[74]"

Just got done playing a few games on my "lunch" break, must not have had any good players online. I played a few games of Free for all and won 2 of them, lol. I even got a game winning kill cam with a Sentry gun.

Either I'm starting to get a little better, or my k/d ratio is so bad that I'm getting matched up with equally crappy players. Played this morning and had some of the best team deathmatches I've ever had. Even had MVP and highest k/d ratio on one game.

My success in the game has really gone up since I started focusing on completing weapons challenges and upgrading my perks. I average about 15 kills in domination and regularly score the most points. I'm even getting 8 kills in a row every now and again to unleash my harriers and attack helicopters.

I played HTDM last night. It's much..much slower. I just don't like how I must wait to respawn. There are more campers, more snipers. But all in all it's much better than having douchbags running all over the place. It will take me some time to get used to it.

IMO that's how it should be. Those who want faster pace should try Left for Dead 2 or something similar. I haven't played much recently, I think I'm still unconsciously waiting on the new Battlefield so I can test out my new flightstick.

Though I agree its the way it should be, its the way games are set up that make run and gun most efficient. The point of most games is getting the most kills as possible, not trying to stay alive. The only game that being killed does matter is search and destroy (by far my favorite objective game).

But even though I'm more the run and gun type, my K/D is 1.65 right now. So it seems to work out alright

Is it just me or is the sniper rifle setup so long as you are close it hits? I've been using it alot lately for the challenges, and I noticed many of my shots that should be misses are actually hits.
