Pretty cold, but it's time for me to head out to bowling... but then, it's only down to around 6 above right now. They're not calling for it to get much colder overnight, but we all know how that goes.

I had to slum around DT Mpls. today and yea it was cold. Black ice almost got me on Hwy 62 just before the Cedar exit on an overpass. Bunch of cars piled up, I was able to successfully re-route, but got that oh **** feeling for a few seconds.

You know how in the summer in TX, you can't go outside for more than 5 minutes without heat stroke, and woudln't dream of having a building without air conditioning?

    Same thing, except opposite.

Global warming is only affecting California and Arizona, or it seems like it. We are basking in high 80's this week.

I need to find a state that do 50 degrees F with 30 percent humidity all year long. suggestion?
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

Big difference. I can sleep walk outside in Texas and not die from freezing.

Move to San Francisco. Or the Pacific Northwest (they had some aberrant weather this year but for the most part it doesn't swing that far)

I remember the days when we had to walk 12 miles uphill in a blizzard and 80 below just to get to an audio shop and listen to speakers we could not afford.. now we have them in our warm cozy homes and never have to leave because the folks at dominos deliver and all I see is complaints... turn up the volume real loud have a hot cider/coffee or other beverage and relax
and another plus... the wife cannot run up credit cards at the mall because its to cold to park and walk to get inside:D:D
    lol... i hate the cold

I had to walk 12 miles uphill in a blizzard, 80 below BOTH WAYS; so you had it easy.:D

Then he had to go to work for 12 hrs :D

Actually I wonder how many can truthfully say that have experienced -80 or colder not wind chill but as an ambient temperature. All I can say from my experience at those temperatures is that strange things happen.

Transmission fluid tends to jell up while your driving and can actually bring a car to a standstill. If you were to take a cup of coffee and throw it up in the air it would freeze before it hit the ground and make a noise similar to a gunshot. All kinds of odd things happen and none of them are good

Last week at this time it was -45 here, this week it rose to 45 above, a 90 degree difference.

    REGARDS SNOW
Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

Who ever divided the border needed a slap up side the head. The border should have gone north and south not east to west, that way we'd have some warm spots too. Heck Florida is almost another province to us as all our old people move down there 6mths of the year.

LOL 60 degrees warmer than here

we are at -21 but will break 0 for the first time in over 90 hours

    thats -21F not C a very BIG difference in temps between F & C

32 F equals 0 C so -20c is cold but nowhere near frigid
