Face it guys, he doesn't get it and never will. The only thing that may get his attention is a judgement in a court of law, but even then, I'm willing to bet that he'll continue to live in denial.

The true measure of a man is how he handles himself in the face of a crisis. Dylan, you have been weighed, measured and found to be lacking any moral compass, what so ever.

On another note....I'm tickled pink that he keeps referring to me in his posts. Always a sure sign that I'm under his skin.........LOL

I'm hoping on a PayPal settlement for Chris, but its not my call if that doesn't work out. If me I wouldn't have a problem going to court, in fact I would enjoy it.

Go to yours or chris's paypal account, (whoever paid him) and click on account history to find his paypal email then go here.

and follow the instructions to look up member info. It should have his
complete street address with any luck. If you didnt get one on the box.

Also if paid by credit card check out doing a reversal of charges :D

Steve, whether Chris files the Paypal claim or eventually pursues things legally, he might wish to bring up the issue of product misrepresentation, in addition to the poor packing job. Compare the line in his original description that I've bolded to what he admits in his PM after the item arrived. Going from scratches that you would not notice unless you were looking for them to dents is misrepresentation. Of course, this is not directly connected to the issue of packing, but it seems it would strengthen Chris' argument that this seller was dishonest.

    The seller's own original description:

    "Parasound HCA-1206 amp -
I was driving my surround speakers, so I was never pushed anywhere near its limits. But it easily has the power to drive my Polk RTi12's (500w) VERY loud. This is a 6 channel amp. Channels 1&2 and 3&4 can be brigded. This amp weighs over 70lbs and is built like an absolute tank and will last forever. It sounds absolutley superb for both music and movies. I am the second owner, the first had it rack mounted for his surrounds. There are some scratches on the top right corner of the face but nothing you would notice unless you were looking for it. (I've added bolding)

And later in a PM of 8/9/08:

"Send me some pics, there were SOME scratches and dents on it, but nothing like what you say."

Thanks all for the support this thread as a whole is unbelievable in the fact of all the post and views. It's also mind bogging on the fact he doesn't get it, the fact he standing alone and he doesn't get it.

I wonder if he likes claims with UPS as this wouldn't come out of his pocket, where a PayPal claim would come out of his pocket in the end. Of cause he could explained the damage to right corner, packed it right, and avoided this whole situation all together. Of cause he could of offered a full refund and avoided it again, but no....

Just how is it he can sell here, no regard of what condition it will arrive and take the proceeds to play over on AVS forum. So he's sold here to play there, where he could sell here play here or sell there play there.

Just in case you read this Dylan here is a quick pic of how I packed a 40lb amp. I sold this unit for $100.00 It cost me $25.00 for foam and bubble wrap even though I only charged $10.00 for packing supplys and ZERO for my time. This includes $200.00 insurance and a signature delivery confirmation on my dime via usps

Sure I lost a few bucks so what!! it will get there safely and I wont be getting lambasted in the flea market for being an ****.

Yea, it's how I feel after reading all his responses. Usually I can see both sides of the issue, but Dylan doesn't have a single point to stand on. He's in the wrong from start to finish and he needs to man up and do the right thing. The more he digs.......the slimier he becomes and he really doesn't understand that we can and will follow him around the internet and make damn sure no one else gets scorched.

Ok Chris got an email last Friday 8/15/08.... Basically it said no they will not refund his money because it was a private sale and not an Ebay sale. WTF? So I got him to call them today and they say yes its there policy, but they will review again.

I knew about the email from 4 days ago, I'm so pissed about I have trouble even talking about. This was Chris first sale / buy, I'm sure it will be he's last. That's sad.

I don't understand the "Postal Inspectors" how is this thing an issue? Dylan packed it wrong it was damaged in shipment everyone knows why it was the seller / Dylan issue. The money should come from him, everyone else did the right thing at first... In the fact Paypal transfer cash from A to B, UPS did there thing and move box for A to B... But now Paypal as dropped the ball and I don't understand why just take to funds out of his account and transfer them back to Chris. What is Paypal out nothing in my mind?

It looks like you have bought at least 11 times on here so I am assuming the same reason/s you have. It was something you wanted and you felt you could trust the fellow selling it to you or at least the risk was acceptable. Of course the people you bought from had a very good rep on here as being solid peeps.

There will always be risk whether you buy from here or ebay, the only thing one can do is to attempt to lower that risk to an acceptable level. Personally I think that the flea market rules should be changed to a minimum of 200 posts and membership for 6 months to buy or sell something, in addition the first time someone sells something they should be required to ship and the item received in the same condition at time of sale before payment is sent by the buyer if the value of the object is $250.00 or more.

    Just my 2 cents :D

Correct Dylan, misrepresented the amp condition as it had damage to upper right corner. He stated the corner had a scratch where it was bent some also prior to the shipment to Chris. The amp may have an issue with channel 2 as it doesn't work now.

How did the Postal Inspectors get into this? It was shipped UPS.

Anyway, Steve what about the CC company angle? If that doesn't work don't dick around, sue him in small claims court, Chris will win.
