Isn't that the whole reason to get into home theater? So you have an excuse to heat fattening popcorn while watching TV?:confused::confused:

I think you just touched on the differences between the HT crowd and 2 channel folks by way of snacks.

    2 channel-nice wine,aged cheese,hot women
Ht folks-bag of Dorito's and a six pac.

.....HMMM.....starting to think there is more to this theory.:)

Yep, thankfully I have both. The women I take home to mom eat fine wine and aged cheese with me while listening to good music and the women I call a taxi for a little after midnight get to watch a movie with me while we stuff our faces with popcorn.

Wait no, that can't be right because I live in an in-law apartment in my parents house...so I guess they call come home one way or another. :(

Yikes... college is expensive these days. My entire 4-year BS degree including room, board and books was $20K.

You've got to be kidding me. All of this PC love is about enough to make me puke. I've been a member for years and unfortunately only post once in a while. This whole thread makes me ill. Lest we forget, this is a person that came into the forum, decided there were parts that didn't fit their definition of acceptable and changed it for the rest of us. Kudos, I think not. I've learned that I can pick up a lot more around here by listening and keeping my opinions to myself...something other newbies that don't add much (if anything) to the audio discussion should consider.

Now I get to hear about her weekend exploits reading sex collection books...give me a break. Hooo-ray. Somebody seems a little self-important to me...

You need to post more often. Wonderfully written, thought out and oh so true.

You must be old then 'cause I graduated from a 5 year school in 2000, didn't live on campus and my tuition still ran me the far side of $80K. I lived at home too until after I graduated. Nothing wrong with doing the smart thing. Yeah, maybe living on his own will provide him a "better experience" but if you are working every second you aren't in class to make enough money to live on your own then you are hurting your education. I say to hell with the experience, do what you gotta do. If you're lucky enough and can stay with the 'rents 'til you gradumacate then do it.
