Announcing Polk Audio on Ebay

Thanks for the sticky status upgrade, -justin-!
Russell, pardon me for ever doubting your authenticity, but now that we know you're the real deal, how about spare parts too, such as drivers, tweeters and grilles? You know some of us get maniacal about our gear and like to replace things when they're not 100%!
Hi Kex,
The guy's and ladies in customer service should be able to accommodate your parts request. The plan right now is not to offer parts. We're still learning ebay ourselves. :-) If you run into a jam or need something really special that we don't have in parts shoot me an email with your request. We'll take a look in our dust over here. -
Two thumbs up!!!
Suggestion: Start offering a home-assembled SDA do-it-yourself kit for the Club Polk Forum folks!!!
Seconded. -
Congrat's Russell on the new E-bay setup thingy-dingy. $299 for Cherry LSI's? That'll get some inventory moving.
Welcome to the forum, BTW. Are you going to actually join the forum in discussions from time to time? With your exposure to so many Polk products, I'm sure you could answer some questions rather quickly with experience to back it up. If you can't, I understand as time is money......but if you can it would be wonderful.
Tom.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -
I see a price adjustment on the R30's!
I guess somebody's reading our posts."The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbour to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg." --Thomas Jefferson -
Great Suggestion! We've lowered the price on the R30's to 99pr... Keep them coming!sucks2beme wrote: »I see a price adjustment on the R30's!

I've said it before and I'll say it again - LSi's are not being demo'd properly in stores when they are run off of some AVR. Get some dedicated amps in showrooms specificly for the LSi demos. A lot of people go shopping and come home with the wrong impression of what an LSi is capable of producing.
Put me down for a pair of LSi 9's - I don't care if they're black, white, oak, cherry, silver, or purple (I'll listen with the lights off )Audio: Polk S15 * Polk S35 * Polk S10 * SVS SB-1000 Pro

Yep my doctor just demo'd a pair of LSi 15s at a local Tweeter and he said they sounded horrible. I asked him what they were using to drive them and he told me something like a $400 Sony AVR. I got a belly laugh out of that one. I told him needs to go to a real audiophile boutique like Quest for Sound which is about a 30 minute drive from him to hear them driven properly with good amplifiers and he can even have them auditioned with tubes. -

" By law we are required to collect tax from all states " That bites
I had noticed your location for the ship from was San Diego...was gonna ask the tax question since I am in Calif and then saw that after scanning the entire ad....answered my own question I guess.
But you changing your price after we mentioned a legitimate local deal ( The 299 LSi9's not withstanding ) was awesome. The first rule of Fight Club is you don't talk about Fight Club -
That's an awesome deal on LSi9's (my fav! what I'm using now). The inventory on eBay is taken from a limited stock. Today we don't have LSi9's that meet the criteria for the eBay store. They rarely ever break so will likely be a blimished pair when available on eBay. Cool thing though, is when they do appear we'll get you an killer deal with a Polk backed warranty.
Stay tuned I'm sure you'll find something that you can't live without.
As mentioned by others...a killer deal on these I will grab...no matter what color or minor blemishesThe first rule of Fight Club is you don't talk about Fight Club -
I just went there and wanted to place the first bid ever. That &^$& RuSsMaN put a ONE DOLLAR bid on a car subwoofer, which is the first bid ever from what I can tell... I am going to up him to at at least $25...
-
Awesome. Can't wait to see the deals roll in, maybe I'll own some LSi's after all.

Eat my dust Dave. You can always BIN on something, and be the first to leave Polk feedback.

Tom.
Tom, I will be here most days and will be glad to answer any questions or concerns you may have via the forum or by contacting me directly.
Although, you've already got the attention of the really smart guy's (engineers) at Polk. -
Good deal Russell. Glad to have you aboard!~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

Damn - even guys from Polk join here and their first post is trying to sell something...
:D

Thanks for being honest.
We made this same announcement yesterday to Polk employees. Many were finding out for the first time just like you guy's.
We consider the forum to be a part of the Polk family and Polk peolple expect to be informed of any major or significant changes in our company. We hope that everyone will visit the site and give us great feedback (we've already gotten some) and help us make the site successful.
We believe this is an opportunity for Polk fans new and old to get some great deals on Polk products that they didn't have access too 2 days ago. I hope it's great enough to tell your family and friends to visit.
Thanks for sharing and please keep your feedback coming. -

Harmon International (Infinity, Harmon Kardon, JBL, Crown, etc,..) have been doing it quite successfully for a while now and you can get some screaming deals on stuff. Some of teh good stuff that is highly prized goes up as refurbs and ends up selling for more than it cost new!
Polk is gonna make a buck on this for sure and I'm glad to see it because even though there are alot of good new products from Polk, there's other stuff that they got hangin' around that would be good to get into people's hands.
I'll be bidding as soon as I get some money!Expert Moron Extraordinaire

R50's are for sale all the time at Fry's much cheaper.
He didn't say they were giving stuff away. Plus I doubt Fry's is a warrantied e-tailer.
I think it's a great idea as many other corporations do the same thing, especially for discontinued, open box, returns and scratch and dent merchandise.

I think it is good marketing. Ebayer buys some cheap R30s now....down the road...LSis!"Just because youre offended doesnt mean youre right." - Ricky Gervais

Great looking site. The only suggestion I have is alternate shipping. Some of us (that includes me) use a UPS store as a ship to address or a post office box number as we are located in a rural area. It would be nice to have the option of FedEx or UPS. Smaller items would be nice with USPS.
