yes I saw the movie today. Actually just 1 hour ago I got back from a Private screening.
the Movie is very very good. I think it's going to be the Summers Hit. They really did a great job on the Story. the Acting was pretty good as well. Alot of punch lines for comedy and alot of companies selling things which you willl catch on when you see it.
Also you will see the New Carmaro.... man I just want one now. I wanted it when I saw the pic's of it but After seeing it in the Movie, man what a sweet ride.
Do youself a favor and go see it when it comes out. It's awesome.

    Lucky ****! :D

I just spoke to some coworkers about going after work on Tuesday to see it. I'm freakin pumped!

Is Optimus Prime as badass as I'm hearing?

Mantis has now been added to my ignore list
    ****.

I like the Camaro but hate the front bumper, it looks like a smiley face. Better fit on a VW Bug than a muscle car. Hopefully they will fix that. Hey wait, wasn't Bumblebee a VW Bug all along? VW would not liscense it for the movie.

No wonder... I kept looking for him in the previews and couldn't spot him. I'm thinkin' VW really dropped the ball on this one, if you're right....

    and you always are.

May he see nothing but GoBots for the rest of his years.

When he comes into play, he light s up the screen man. He is the man and thats that(Robot, Alien whatever).

The Camaro is very cool man. The Front end looks fine. I'll be there on day of release, I also want to check out the New Trans am, it looks killer as well.

His bad **** took up most of the screen on my old 19" TV. Seeing this on the big screen is going to be weird and cool at the same time. Is the soundtrack just variations of the theme song or current music?

Dan, thanks for the heads up. I heard the story line was dead on. This is the ONE movie to get me in the Theatre this year. Oh yes the new Camaro will be mine. My 401K is locked and loaded and my Eclipse is paid off.;)

It is almost assured that every Chevy dealer will want at least 15-20K over sticker for the V8, pricing it higher than a Vette for the first year. Most dealers, since there are so many and it is a limited production vehicle, will only receive 1/month, maybe less. It will be interesting to see what happens.

There are dealers here that still want 10K for the Saturn Sky and 20K over for some of the rarer Mustangs.

I really hope this isn't true. I have heard nothing of it being very limited production car. They have had tons of time to ramp up production. I live in a very small town and from day one, the Mustang's have been a dime a dozen. Not to mention they were tons of them for rental cars........

Well I hope I am wrong, but I look at this car as one of the most anticipated in many years. Before GM decided to build it, they had to be assured that they could meet their minimum sales quota, which was around 100K. I have no doubt that they will do this with the new model, but remember that the Camaro was always 2nd in sales to the Mustang, that is why they killed it in 2002.

Out of those 100k or so they will produce for the first year, many, if not most will be the cheaper V6 model. I cannot see anyone who does want the Camaro, wanting the V6. That leaves less V8's available, to be allocated to dealers according to best sales areas for GM, which is off the coasts. However, this vehicle, being a more premuim one, should do well on the coasts, especially CA and FL due to whether and per capita income.

We will see how it pans out. When the Solstice came out, local dealers wanted close to 40K for it, a lower $20k car. Can you imagine what they will want for the Camaro V8?

Thanks Scott, cool vids. I still do not like the front end and the smiley face grill. I think it would have looked a lot better without the curve, like the older Lemans. I want to see a black one.

Are you going to Vegas next week? I am there on the 15th.

That is kinda stupid, as VW is marketing to the "younger crowd" last I checked....I think a New Beetle transforming into a badass robot would sell a lot of cars, besides being more accurate to the original.....Maybe make the New Beetle less homo, who knows....:D

Every year my industry has a trade show in Vegas I have to go up for. I will be there this year from the 15th to the 20th. We usually stay at Ceasars. That is cool that you are so close. Too bad that we are not there at the same time, it would be cool to get a beer or something.

Yeah, I think VW stepped on their crank with that move, since GM is eating up all the attention they can get from this movie.
