Well, I'm down to about 205lbs... but have lost a good inch or two from my waist while still staying strong. I've been focusing on my core lately, and have really noticed a great improvement in the strength there.
I still need to burn about 3 pounds of fat around the mid gut. Upper stomach the two pack is starting to come back, but the lower part just has a little bit too much. This summer I should be ok though, because I just got new shoes to start running again
Keep up the good work fella's. If it wasn't ****, we should all take before and after pictures... er, never mind. I don't want to see certain people flip out at the sign of "Skin"Honoured to be, an original SOPA founding member

Me and 3 other guys from my work had a little contest. $25 to see who could loose the most % of weight. in 3 months. Weigh in was April 1st. I lost a total of 40 lbs. 16%. Working out and watching what I eat. I did win the $75, so it was double good for me. I had shirts in my closet that I haven't worn in a long time, and now I can. Feels good.

I started at the first of the year and weighed 262. I'm down to 227 and would like to get under 200. It's been easier than I thought. I'm eating better and exercising more. Basic common sense stuff.

Weighed this morning. 167.5 pounds. Waist is 31 inches. I gained 5 pounds but my waist shrunk. I'm at a point where I can't physically see a difference between weight gain and loss. I have to measure body parts.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

I got on the scale this morning, it said 166 lbs, 58% water, 11% fat and I need 4400 calories a day to maintain my weight.
It is to early in the season for me to be light, need to get my weight back up to 170 so I have some reserves to work with over the season.
I have a 13 hour bicycle race coming up in 2 weeks and I don't think I am where I need to be in fitness. I think it will be an exercise in pain management. -
5'8", at 315 lbs. I'd like to lose about 140 lbs, but I don't think my wife will move out. Anyway, I am in shape cuz I learned round is a shape. lol.

Been plateau'd for a while now...gaining strength, losing body fat, but not losing any weight.
I went to GNC today and bought some supplements....gonna cheat for a while and see where it gets me. Looks like some pretty serious stuff I got, we'll see. I will report back after 30 days with results or no results.
Better be results, damn stuff is expensive. -

Ease off on the strength training and get into something aerobic like bike riding, jogging or even one of those videos.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

You are going to have your "plateau" for a while then 'cause if you are going to drop weight but gain strength, your weight loss will be slow. Mainly because you will be gaining weight in muscle mass and you have to keep your calorie intake up to build the strength. That means your body won't be tapping it's energy reserves (i.e.: fat, lard, blubber) nearly as much.
I would cool it on the strength training for a bit and just do maintenance training for now and concentrate on the cycling and maybe add jump roping or something. To drop fat, you gotta burn it off. To do that, you need to keep going long enough for your muscles to burn through the quick energy they have stored and start burning your reserves. That's the "wall" that runners hit because it takes time for your body to switch to those reserves. they are harder to process than the sugars you have in your muscles. So when runners talk about managing reserves, they are trying to ease into the fat reserves before all the quick energy burns out. That way, when they hit the "wall", it doesn't impact them as bad.
If you are training for a marathon, your wall will be a good ways off. But if you are just a regular schlub, then you can hit your wall in as little as 10 minutes. So get on the cycle and pedal your little heart out until you feel like you can't go any longer and then keep going for at least 20 minutes more. You'll drop weight pretty quickly. If 4.5 miles a day ain't doin' it, go 6 miles or 8 miles or do 5 miles a day for 6 days instead of 4. If it ain't working change it up. You'll see a difference.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

That's not really correct. I didn't read back through BAgged's goals, but it sounds like he wants to lose weight and gain strength. Lean, healthy muscle mass burns calories when you are sitting still. A person can actually lose body fat quicker with an intense lifting schedule with cardio every day to build cardio-vascular support. He will most likely gain a little weight at some point if there isn't a lot of fat to lose.
It depends on what his goals are. If he wants strength and to lose weight, there is no reason to back off on the lifting.HT

Absolutely correct! You can actually burn more fat by intensive conditioning workouts, instead of running "6 or 8 Miles..." Nobody who is building muscle should be running anywhere near that distance. Maybe a 4 mile run once a week if you aren't trying to burn a bunch of fat... but stick to intensive conditioning exercises... forget that long distance stuff it's been proven to not work as well or quickly.Honoured to be, an original SOPA founding member

I hate to break it to you, but the only supplements that have been proven to do anything that you can't get in a regular diet are Creatine and Caffine. The Creatine allows you to work out much longer per workout because it helps your muscles recover and caffine helps your workouts be more intense. I'm not a big fan of using caffine for a workout supplement because it also dehydrates you, but some like it.
You might want to try creatine. (just the straight power and mix it with water). It is reasonably inexpensive compared to some of the supplement cocktails that promise all kinds of stuff. Concentrate on intense hypertrophy (muscle building) workouts, which would be low rep, heavy weight.
You might not lose weight for a while because you will begin to build lean muscle fiber, which is more dense than fat. Then as the fat burns off you should start to lose weight.HT

I will never put creatine into my body, now that's a waste of time/money. Tonight was the first night taking one of the supplements I bought and I 100% noticed a difference in how I felt at the gym.
Both supplements are muscle myotropic developers and are designed to be stacked together. I took one 4 months ago with amazing results so I'm hoping taking that again, with this additional supplement will power me straight through my plateau and i won't look back.
I was doing low rep, heavy weight exercises, mainly 4 sets of 8 reps of everything I was doing, now I'm doing medium-heavy exercises, 4 sets of either 12 or 15 reps. Instead of doing 100 pound dumbbell presses 8 times now I'm doing 2 sets with 85's and 2 sets with 90's.
I'm on a pretty good overall routine so we'll see when summer season starts what I look like. Been going at it good since last June, so this June is going to be completely different(I'm already 50 pounds lighter than this time last year). -
I'm down to 225 but that's only a 2 lb loss since my last post on the 10th. At least I'm still losing.
