    Looks good Victor...

Besides the pics of me and my fat gut!:o I can't believe how much weight I gained since I've seperated the military. To bad Aaron doesn't live closer, I need a gym partner now!

I'm feelin a little chubby myself, bro. I've been traveling a lot lately and the road hasn't been kind. Too many beers and burgers at the bars at the end of the day. We took the dogs for a walk yesterday and I felt like I worked out at the end.

You look ok to me, anyway (in a manly, non-homosexual way....not that there's anything wrong with that) Just get up and do a road march every morning or something. I'm the one who's eating in every damn picture.

We are always harder on ourselves than anyone else. You are your worst critic. Don't sweat it - everybody looks fine. Besides no one is looking at us - they're looking at all the gear ;):p:D

I'll be doing the "I'm not worthy" bow on his front steps.

Really, it's amazing as much as I've learned from all you guys in the last 9 or 10 months. The incremental gains that every new piece has added to my system is amazing. Plus I had no idea of the synergies that are necessary between different equipment to get the sound you really want. This hobby is crazy addictive.

Awesome job on the pics in the showcase Vic!!! Thanks for the airtime on the Clamp, I know Richie did a bang up job on explaining the finer details on its inner workings.

BTW when I saw the picture of the Spacedeck with the LP on it, I ID'd the record as Dire Straits "Brothers in Arms" 180 gm pressing. The next picture verified my suspicions. . . damn I need to get out more often!!

One complaint on the pics though, who the hell wants to look at your ugly mugs when there are beautiful women and gear in the area!!! More pics of the wives are in order here man!!!

If you need a sales director to push your goods, Rich is the man. He almost had me writing a check for one and I don't own one LP or a TT for that matter. (and I am also way to lazy for vinyl)

That is very funny!!! I know Richie, he has more knowledge about everything in that head than one man should have. . . he's an effing genius, and his hands are as good as his head!!! I'm surprised he hasn't modified and improved the Clamp yet!!!:D

Joe, when "The Clamp" isn't on the table, or it travels to another location, it rests in this custom foam lined case. How 'bout dat for first class treatment!:D

I'm gonna ask you one more time damn it, Will you marry me?:D

That is way too cool! Maybe I should make a nice box for them instead of those cheezy cardboard cartons I have for them.

BTW I think your Zerodust needs to be cleaned, I can see the little black heads that form on it in that picture. Me and Ted have a running joke with that stylus cleaner, "when it looks like the forehead of a teenager with blackheads it time to clean it!"

I found out from Jesse yesterday that it takes 200 hours to break in the crossovers after I do the Sonic Cap and Mill resistor upgrades. That's 8+ days of not listening to the rig. . . I'll loose my mind!!! I'm gonna have to loop a cd for 8.3333333333333 days!

400 hours . . . 16.6666666666666666666666666666 days and that's if you can keep an LP going continuously!!!! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA my goodness that's an awful thought.

Well you'll be able to use the clamp on that too, you will notice that I took that into consideration in the design of the collet. A stacking spindle will fit right through the entire body of the collet.

I got to thinking about this burn in thing. The Signal Cables have to burn in for about 50 hours. Does music have to be playing or can the rig just be powered up like mine has been for 3-4 days straight? There has to be a small amount of electron flow while the rig is just idling, correct? Aren't the cables burning in by just having the system powered up and eveything connected?

Perhaps I've just been doing to much thinking this Memorial Day weekend :p . I swear the Signal Cables sound a lot better than they did 2 days ago when I put them in the system. In total I only have about 6-8 hours of actual music playing, but the system has been pwered up since Thursday night.

    Any thoughts about this?

I keep my rig powered up 24 x 7 unless a thunderstorm is brewing or I am making a change. When I check the amperage being drawn on my power center, when everything is idle it is pulling 2.2 amps. When I am playing music that varies and I've had it up to 4.4 amps which is ear bleeding loud. I dont' think that is the actual amperage being drawn but a display of amperage. I'm wondering . . . if the speakers are not showing a varying load to the amps if there is anything flowing other than just a complete circuit flow. I would imagine that would be the same with IC. . .they are completing a circuit and something has to be flowing.

If anyone can set me straight on this I would appreciate it.

    BILL,

Start reading from the 1st post in this thread.

Then go to this thread: link

    Finish with this: link

Since this just ended I don't see an official fest happening until next year but that does not mean that a local GTG is out of the question. :)
