How is that uninformed and uneducated? What's the information and education he's lacking to form his opinion on that type of sex? Just because you don't like your behavior being likened to other perversions doesn't make him uninformed or uneducated. Sex is nothing more than getting off in the homosexual community. Has absolutely no reproductive value whatsoever. The vast majority of the time it's the same in the straight community (funny how we have to have 'communities' for every difference). It's beside the point, however, because it's a natural act. What is natural about a **** in someones **** other than to gain sexual gratification?

I think he's plenty educated on why he has the opinions he has. I just think you don't like it that he's not catering to your sensitive sensibilities. Just admit that.

it's uniformed.. because he's linking homosexuality together with child **** and beasteality. if that's how you spell it..

that's like saying.. any straight man between the ages of 18 and 99 likes little girls.. seevgbh how uneducated that sounds. and is wrong on all levels.

I don't understand how some people can link homosexualtiy with a mental illness such as a person who deals in child ****. there is no link..and the two should never be in the same sentence.

**** Day at Disney Land/World. Is Disney only for straight people now? Maybe they should exclude Mexicans too. Then for sure I couldn't go. Listen to what some of you are saying. You're upset that some of the **** people at Disney were kissing/making out etc. Does that taint your view of all **** then? If so, i feel for you.

I don't condone how some people (**** or straight or Polkies) act in public. But i don't condem them for being themselves. It's not my place to judge how someone else acts in public.

Say for instance you and your wife/gf wanted to go to Disney Land for a couple days.. but once you get there... people are staring at you.. and scoffing because you are holding your wifes hand. You find it perfectly normal... but other Disney landers find it offensive. How would you feel?

Stop lumping homosexuality with child **** or beasteality or whatever else people in here are linking it to.

So now i'm a pervert huh? Nice... as you stated.. "just because you don't like your behavior being likened to other perversions" you are lumping homosexuality with "other perversions". end of story.

secondly... "sex is nothing more than getting off in the homosexual community" wow... so you've never had sex to "get off" ?? and i take is you are straight.

thirdly... "what is natural about a **** in someones **** other than to gain sexual gratification"? Here again.. this is not strickly a **** sex act. Read a sex manual... straight couples.. married or not married have anal sex too. Sheesh, is this sex ed 101 or what? :p Little Demi, the birds and the bees... ha ha ha. :D

I actually missed the part about it being about nothign more than getting off. It's a silly claim to say that 100% of the time it's about that. Believe it or not, and this may come as a shock to many of you.......but some people have sex as an expression of love and intimacy. Even more weird is that some of them are ****..........SHOCK..........AWE..............

I understand the point that ****'s having sex will not result in a child. Neither will a marriage where the woman's on birth control or where condom's are used (usually). If you're not going condemn those marriages/couples, it's a non-point as I see it.

No, what I find odd is you trying to liken what goes on at a Thanksgiving Day parade to any of the typical behaviour at a "pride" parade. It's obvious you feel that behaviour is ok so you've answered my question. I was pretty sure that on average you and I had pretty much the same ideals about what is and what isn't "decent" adult behaviour in public (especially around children) but I guess not. I won't tell you your morals are "wrong" and hopefully you are big enough to allow me the same respect.

No where did I say or even imply that "Disney is only for straight people now". If you read my initial post and came away with that your comprehension skills are beyond my help. You weren't there that day so don't try to tell me I'm wrong for my reaction. If I had been a parent there that day I too would have left like alot of the other families (luckily I think Disney was offering passes for those who left), NOT because of **** people, only because I wouldn't want children of that age to see what I saw that day. **** straight it didn't matter who was doing it. From what brett said, its sounds like things are better organized now and I have no problem with that.

With that, its obvious that no one can civilly discuss this since everyone seems to take it as some kind of personal attack, and then choose to twist my words and only further polarize the issue. I was only trying to have a discussion and further my understanding but its obvious that's not wanted. Fine, you win. I'm out.

What if Disney had a straight only day?
They close the park at 6 pm. and only allowed straight people in? How do you suppose that would go?

I bet money that some **** people would show up and protest.

Also let me say that just because I do not agree with homosexuality does not mean I am a hater.

I do not avoid dealing with **** people in public nor do I try to belittle them.
I have even been to a party thrown by a **** couple I used to know. I had similar conversations at that party as we are having right now and no one appeared to get their panties in a bunch.

This is just conversation and because I do not agree with someone does not mean I hate them.

    Thread crapping and assless chaps....

this thread has reached an all-time low.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

I've never been to **** day at Disney... so i can't comment from first hand experience.. but, i do know that **** day is only a half day during the year.. leaving 364 days where straight folks can take their children and not be offended about what they might see. 364 days.. for straights, 1/2 day for **** day. hmmmm? yeah that seems fair to me.

funny how seeing two guys holding hands will cause adverse reactions in some people. but two women holding hands doesn't offend anyone.

Bottom line.. some people just aren't comfortable with seeing **** in public if they can be detected as ****. Silly but that's what i'm hearing. Basically, I have to act "straight" in public to be accepted by some of you. Odd, but that's what i get out of some of the most recent posts.

I can't show emotion or hold my partners hand in public at Disney because it may offend little kids. FOr the record i wouldn't do it anyways.. for fear of being beaten up... by Mickey and Mini :p

Well I hate to resurrect this thread but I just want to give an update on the Philly School District situation. It seems as though the school district has placed their heads in the sand hoping the original onslaught of reaction (some think overreaction on this thread) to how they presented **** & **** History Month will just fizzle out and go away. It appears their strategy is working. The reason I say this is because we (my wife and I) have made several attempts at phone contact and a written request. The phone contact was in each instance met with so and so will contact so and so and "they" (whoever that is) will call you back. The letter has never been replied to let alone acknoweledged (sp) neither was the original fax. Other parents we have spoken with told us they got the same.

We have been to the school several times, not to storm the school and principal like a Frankenstein movie  but for learning issues with our son (he has ADHD) :( and we were meeting his teacher, and the school nurse. While we were there we asked the people in the front office of the school about the "incident." Never received a straight answer:rolleyes: and the principal seem to be tied up each time  (whatever!). We have more pressing issues now than **** & **** History Month ((like it takes Joey 4 to 5 hours to do the three r's homework:( , ADHD comes into play in that department and I can tell you it can get frustrating:( (plus preparing to move to a different state, etc, etc.:D :D )). They (the school) have not moved forward in any way, shape or form on G & L HM. No banners, no assignments, no classes, no projects, no nothing. We have decided to let it go even though we have suspicions that next year a little more is coming in October, I.E. more than just a banner on a school calendar;) . The thing is, we are moving to Delaware probably in January 07:D and don't have to deal with the Phila school district anymore. However one thing I have learned in life; If you have unresoved issues, God will make sure you get them resolved one way or another.;) So when we get down to Delaware I am thinking that we will have to deal with G & L something and I'm okay with that.:)

Before I wrote this I decided to spend a couple of hours reading every post on this thread with new eyes, a fresh heart, and an open mind. I've read all 471 posts (where did I get the time?). I can see and I appreciate both sides of this fence. There was a lot more discussed than just the topic of the thread. I can see where I overreacted or took some things personally or felt defensive, or felt protective of my son etc, etc, etc and I probably would feel those same things again during this type of discussion, topic, notwithstanding.

I don't like the way the school district presented the calendar and was blind-side by it and reacted strongly to it. Am I okay with a **** & **** History Month? I would know better if I saw the cirriculm and was given a summary of the content. I'm not sure it warrants a whole month like Black History month (I have accepted Black History month but think it is overkill in that it promotes a them vs. us atmosphere). I know that I think Joey is too young for this stuff right now. In two years when he is moving onto 12 I think I can accept a class on educating what homosexuality is and how acceptance of all people is what is important. I really think his little mind right now can't grasp it although I know he is waxing his carrot:eek: . How do I know he can't grasp, because when I asked what he thought the white stuff was he told me, "Oh that is because I drink a lot of milk.:D :D:D " LOL I let him dominate the discussion of buffing the helmet. He doesn't get it!!!!

All-in-all I think this was an enlightening and fun thread. I know I surely got to know more about the people who are memebers of this club than if this thread never existed and I think this is by far the best community on the internet.

    Cheers,
    Joe:)

    Nobody's Hero
    by Rush:

I knew he was different in his sexuality
I went to his parties as a straight minority
It never seemed a threat to my masculinity
He only introduced me to a wider reality
As the years went by, we drifted apart
When I heard that he was gone
I felt a shadow cross my heart

    But he's nobody's hero
    Saves a drowning child
    Cures a wasting disease
    Hero...lands the crippled airplane
    Solves great mysteries
    Hero...not the handsome actor
    Who plays a hero's role
    Hero...not the glamour girl
Who'd love to sell her soul
    If anybody's buying
    Nobody's hero

I didn't know the girl, but I knew her family
All their lives were shattered in a nightmare of brutality
They try to carry on, try to bear the agony
Try to hold some faith in the goodness of humanity
As the years went by, we drifted apart
When I heard that she was gone
I felt a shadow cross my heart

    But she's nobody's hero
Is the voice of reason against the howling mob
    Hero...is the pride of purpose
    In the unrewarding job
    Hero...not the champion player
    Who plays the perfect game
    Hero...not the glamour boy
Who loves to sell his name
    Everybody's buying
    Nobody's hero

    Nice follow-up HI

I was going to let this go but since the thread was resurrected:

H9, Your "evidence" is severely lacking. If it was a response to those posts, it was way out of context and timing. Also, your statement has absolutely nothing to do with reality. Please grow up an learn some common sense and logic before you try to post in one of these threads again. Intelligence is appreciated, childishness and ignorance is not- check the COC sometime.

    Joe,

it sounds like you and your wife and other concerned parents got no where with the school/dist. that's to bad that they couldn't meet you half way and sit down for a grown up discussion.

I am also hearing that nothing was presented to the school that dealt with **** and **** history month. Oct is nearly over. So maybe they never intended to do anything at all.. then really ran scared once they began getting phone calls and parents showing up at the school.

I know homosexuality is not a topic that alot of parents want their school age children to hear about. I also think that at the right time and age, parents should encourage their childen to come to them so they can have an open and honest discussion about it. I'm not saying all parents should grasp it, but you need to let your children know how you feel about this topic. They can later decide on their own what stance they want to take on it.

    Thanks for posting an update.

Ummm i don't think we're going for round 2. i'm just glad Joe posted an update.. to the situation.

plus, it's very easy to just ignore a thread... unless you can't. Like seeing a horrible car accident.. you know you have to look.. even though you know you shouldn't. ;) rubberneckers! :D
