I thank the Brits for some bands, Monty Python and the Dr. Who series. Karen Gillan played Amy Pond in the Dr. Who series with my fav eleventh doctor, Matt Smith. Sadly one of the Weeping Angels zapped her out in 2012 and Matt left in 2013.Salk SoundScape 8's * Audio Research Reference 3 * Bottlehead Eros Phono * Park's Audio Budgie SUT * Krell KSA-250 * Harmonic Technology Pro 9+ * Signature Series Sonore Music Server w/Deux PS * Roon * Gustard R26 DAC / Singxer SU-6 DDC * Heavy Plinth Lenco L75 Idler Drive * AA MG-1 Linear Air Bearing Arm * AT33PTG/II & Denon 103R * Richard Gray 600S * NHT B-12d subs * GIK Acoustic Treatments * Sennheiser HD650 * -

I wish it was motorcycle storage...haha. Its a 40x50x14 metal building. I'll be building out about 700 sq ft of living quarters (1 bed/1 bath). The wife and I will be living in that for a few years, renting out our current house, and saving up for our 'dream home'. If the weather stays good next weekend, we're hoping to have the shop done then. After that, it's just the build out. Luckily, weather doesn't really affect progress on that - as weather has affected progress for everything else. I'm very thankful that this weekend was nice and so far, next weekend is looking nice too!

^^^^That amp is going to be HUGE!
I am rolling on the floor, here...
It must operate in Class A; I am guessing the heat sinks'll have to be anchored to the bedrock for support... -
Hahaha....I'm glad that one didn't go unnoticed.
My assumptions are the caps are going to be the size of an oil truck. I feel bad for the poor guy that has to do all of the soldering!!!Where’s the KABOOM?!?! There’s supposed to be an Earth shattering KABOOM!!! -

That right there sounds like a smart idea. Since your doing the build out what are the chances the living quarters just so happen to be built to audio standards . Good luck man. Wish we could have got into our "dream" house first time around but it just didnt work out."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." I'll have a theater room in the 'dream house'. The layout is on one side of the shop. Bedroom, living room, kitchen, all in a straight line, then the utility room (washer/dryer/pantry storage) and bathroom are on the end. The bathroom will have a hallway through it that leads into the shop as well. When we move into the house, the wall between the bedroom and living room will be removed and a wall will be put in to separate the kitchen from the living room (its an open design as of now, only separated by the kitchen counter. The living room and bedroom will become my heated/cooled work room and the kitchen will stay a kitchen for my wife's side dessert business. Utility room will stay. I'll throw an old washer/dryer in there to use for shop stuff. Bathroom will stay as is too. All the living space will have overhead storage on top. We'll have 8' ceilings. The eves of the building are 14'. I don't want anything more than 1' beams, so I'll have 5' of head room on the side of the building and a little over 6' of headroom closer to the middle.

All of my brother in-laws took the same approach; build a shop, live in it while you build the main house. Sounds like fun watching your dream materialize. Enjoy man!
A recommendation I would make, and you may have already considered this; had I built my home, I would have opted for the newer black water/gray water septic systems. Not that it's a big deal, but it surely will allow your black tank to "operate" far better without detergeants, soaps, bleach, etc water killing off the bacteria you need to maintain a healthy black tank.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2 -
We plan on separating them for our house, but not for the shop. I've been making sure to take a ton of pictures to document the process. It's exciting, but the constant rain since October has been frustrating. My road has taken a beating. I need another load of rock, but I'll probably wait until the summer. I need to get the box blade back on it to take some of the crown out and put it in the low spots.
