My wife. The skies were clear and blue this weekend, and that panorama was taken from about 2200ft; it drops down to a river right behind her. A lovely place but so far, no skiing in this part of Washington. -
Ever seen one of these full rangers? It's a Technics 20pw49s
I had a friend some years ago running a pair that looked like that. They were an 8" version he had in an open baffle full ranger construction. The round knob phase plug is rather distinctive. They were nice, very nice. I've kind of half watched for a pair since.
They were labeled on the magnet as Pana Sonic or Pana-sonic as I recall. As if at that time the name wasn't Panasonic.
CJA so called science type proudly says... "I do realize that I would fool myself all the time, about listening conclusions and many other observations, if I did listen before buying. That’s why I don’t, I bought all of my current gear based on technical parameters alone, such as specs and measurements."
More amazing Internet Science Pink Panther wisdom..."My DAC has since been upgraded from Mark Levinson to Topping." -
Quicky build that won "Iron Driver 2013". All testing was done blind behind a acoustically transparent screen. I'm glad I voted favorably for my own speakers as I didn't recognize them while playing.

re: the geese - it took me a while to realize that, in the first photo, the two birds are flying to the right; I thought they were going to the left - and I was completely perplexed as to what they were (white fronts and long dark tails) :-P So much for my birdwatching cred...
