Rich, did you get to hear that $40k amp? What amp is that 845 in?
Yes, with Carl and Ed at the NY audio show. Coincident Turbo 845SE.
Sorry, trouble uploading pics.Salk SoundScape 8's * Audio Research Reference 3 * Bottlehead Eros Phono * Park's Audio Budgie SUT * Krell KSA-250 * Harmonic Technology Pro 9+ * Signature Series Sonore Music Server w/Deux PS * Roon * Gustard R26 DAC / Singxer SU-6 DDC * Heavy Plinth Lenco L75 Idler Drive * AA MG-1 Linear Air Bearing Arm * AT33PTG/II & Denon 103R * Richard Gray 600S * NHT B-12d subs * GIK Acoustic Treatments * Sennheiser HD650 * -
I wonder how that coincident compares to my monoblocks. Same tube array, just in one chassis.
Any clue what that sells for off the top of your head?
IIRC $5K or $6K.Salk SoundScape 8's * Audio Research Reference 3 * Bottlehead Eros Phono * Park's Audio Budgie SUT * Krell KSA-250 * Harmonic Technology Pro 9+ * Signature Series Sonore Music Server w/Deux PS * Roon * Gustard R26 DAC / Singxer SU-6 DDC * Heavy Plinth Lenco L75 Idler Drive * AA MG-1 Linear Air Bearing Arm * AT33PTG/II & Denon 103R * Richard Gray 600S * NHT B-12d subs * GIK Acoustic Treatments * Sennheiser HD650 * -
Not sure what show special they might have had. Some will have a card showing x% off, some you can ask what the show special might be. I've purchased gear prior to shows at reduced rates and it was shipped to me after it was over.Salk SoundScape 8's * Audio Research Reference 3 * Bottlehead Eros Phono * Park's Audio Budgie SUT * Krell KSA-250 * Harmonic Technology Pro 9+ * Signature Series Sonore Music Server w/Deux PS * Roon * Gustard R26 DAC / Singxer SU-6 DDC * Heavy Plinth Lenco L75 Idler Drive * AA MG-1 Linear Air Bearing Arm * AT33PTG/II & Denon 103R * Richard Gray 600S * NHT B-12d subs * GIK Acoustic Treatments * Sennheiser HD650 *

Some pics from our Thanksgiving family trip to see my folks in Santa Fe, NM
The Rio Grande Gorge bridge outside of Taos - absolutely stunning - and frigidly cold that day:
A trail close to my folk's house in Santa Fe looking west to the Jemez Mountains:
And the gate to my folk's house:

Loves it. So does this one.
That bird looks like a real character! All birds seem to love water. Our cat, Ok to drink but don't put me in it! He found a spider in the walk in shower once and still hunts there. So tempted to turn the water on when he is in there but don't want to deal with the collateral,,,lolSalk SoundScape 8's * Audio Research Reference 3 * Bottlehead Eros Phono * Park's Audio Budgie SUT * Krell KSA-250 * Harmonic Technology Pro 9+ * Signature Series Sonore Music Server w/Deux PS * Roon * Gustard R26 DAC / Singxer SU-6 DDC * Heavy Plinth Lenco L75 Idler Drive * AA MG-1 Linear Air Bearing Arm * AT33PTG/II & Denon 103R * Richard Gray 600S * NHT B-12d subs * GIK Acoustic Treatments * Sennheiser HD650 * -

Very nice! I am new to this area; just moved to Mukilteo from Orlando, FL. So I deal with the Whidbey Island ferry traffic regularly lol. I love it here, but dang it's cold for this Floridian! Haha. I love that there is a much bigger music culture here than I ever saw in Florida.- Jeremy

Why, thank you.......but it's not mine. I'd bet the sound would be a real pleasure to listen too though, fo' sho'.

Congrats on the move! It is beautiful up here, and we do have a great music, and HIFI culture. PM me if you ever want to come over and spin some tunes. -

This should give you a scale of just how big the speakers pictured above are...the Avalon Tesseracts, that is....much bigger than I had thought. How big is your next speaker build, Face?

But 10ft^3 probably isn't a whole lot smaller.
FYI, they're using Acoustic Elegance (sub)woofers with Accuton for the rest. At least $6k in drivers alone, per speaker."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. Nice. Very nice, Face. I trust you will let us know how it ends up? You have perked my ears up.

It's more than halfway done. The speaker itself I hope to have complete in a month or two, finishing will have to wait till warm weather though."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. So are pointy-headed speakers the next big thing? I was getting tired of all the Wilson Wannabes :-)

When I saw the pointy speakers it reminded of that medival torture thing they made people sit on... :OSalk SoundScape 8's * Audio Research Reference 3 * Bottlehead Eros Phono * Park's Audio Budgie SUT * Krell KSA-250 * Harmonic Technology Pro 9+ * Signature Series Sonore Music Server w/Deux PS * Roon * Gustard R26 DAC / Singxer SU-6 DDC * Heavy Plinth Lenco L75 Idler Drive * AA MG-1 Linear Air Bearing Arm * AT33PTG/II & Denon 103R * Richard Gray 600S * NHT B-12d subs * GIK Acoustic Treatments * Sennheiser HD650 *
