The plane of the ecliptic.
Well, the one at the lower right is a house on the hill, but the other three, from high to low, are Jupiter, Saturn (very dim, at this exposure), and Venus -- a little after dark tonight, 14Dec2021

Well, I mean, there's scrapple -- which makes deviled ham look like, I dunno, The Angel Gabriel or somethin'. You wanna talk about everything but the squeal.
@SeleniumFalcon is in scrapple country, I do believe.
DISCLAIMER: I effing love scrapple -- but I try pretty hard not to think too much about its provenance when actually eating some.
ODD LINGUISTIC FACTOID: Down south, there is a product that's extremely similar to scrapple. It goes by the elegant culinary moniker of liver mush.
mmmm-doggies!
PS I am pretty sure we've had this conversation before on these august fora -- but now seemed like a good time to bring it up again.

Tom
I tried to do something like that late this afternoon (i.e., about 3:45 pm) -- but I failed rather miserably.
@treitz3 's photo puts me to mind of a great line from a great Bruce Cockburn song*Pearl held in black fingers
Is the moon behind dry trees
Pearl held in black fingers
Bird inside the rib cage is beating to be free
Use me while you can
(emphasis added)

* Use Me While You Can. It's also a really good sounding song; kind of a slow burn with some interesting LF stuff going on. The whole album (Breakfast in New Orleans, Dinner in Timbuktu) is -- IMO, at least -- very, very good

Those birds in the background are some of the very first Boeing 747s. The one in the background is RA002, the second one built. This was shot in the fall of 1969 at Boeing Field, when the 747-100 program was still in progress. Pan Am initiated commercial [747] flights on January 21, 1971.
