What you see here is a SWARM of mayflies around a portable mast light.
This was taken near the Mississippi River a couple of nights ago.
Suprisingly, the little critters don't taste too bad.....

not a picture, so much as a video, detailing my sketch process on a pair of headphones. I'll have to post one for a speaker... maybe once the next series releases :-) https://youtu.be/w0WX0FP0ZQw

Thanks guys. I love what I do! Getting to design things everyday, while not easy, is rewarding. Especially so when you all enjoy the end product. When you have critical feedback I look at is as great information to design it better next time. The most difficult part is keeping everything in balance. We always have design and engineering goals which we have to balance out with cost, retailer and sales feedback, and the practical realities of manufacturing. Walking that line and pushing the boundaries of the expected is part of what makes it a fun challenge. One of the founders of the industrial design profession, Raymond Loewy, used to strive for what he called the MAYA, the Most Advanced Yet Acceptable solution. That is how I guide our team.

The magnetosphere of Saturn is the cavity created in the flow of the solar wind by the planet's internally generated magnetic field. Discovered in 1979 by the Pioneer 11 spacecraft, Saturn's magnetosphere is the second largest of any planet in the Solar System after Jupiter.

Did Mr. Hardy really just get Hardy'd by someone else? Did he really just refer to the magnetosphere of Saturn as a wint-o-green Life Saver? What world am I living in?
