To all my Polk Bothers & Sisters,

It is with a heavy heart that I write this to you....

I will not be able to join in the festivities this year.
Without going into the financials, work problems, and health issues (I`m not making excuses Mark)....it`s just not going to happen.

I know I will get pounded with the "yer a puss" posts, but believe me, I tried every angle I could to pull it off, but to no avail....

I do ask that you all hoist a drink for me, and enjoy the Fest.

I have met some of the best people I know at last years Fest, and am pround to call them friends. I actually made some of the best friends a man could ask for, and I am very bummd out that I couldn`t do it again this year...but again, without getting into details....It ain`t gonna happen.
    So... enjoy my brothers...

Looks like I`m gonna be one of the few that sits back and waits for the pic`s, and say`s.."Man, I wish I was there"

PS - I'd never call you a puss, I've met you, and I know that once the knife in your boot has been removed from it's sheath, it cannot be replaced until it has spilt blood.

I'm leaving in the morning for my own mini golf trail. Links O Tyron in Campobello tomorrow morning, Golf Club of South Carolina at Crickentree (Blythewood/Columbia) either tomorrow afternoon or Fri. Morning. Spend the night in Columbia and a round of golf "somewhere" before I roll into Troy's around 1800 Fri. Then 2 days of PF at Casa Dion.

Getting packed up. Will be hitting the road after tucking the kids into bed, tonight. I should arrive by mid-afternoon, depends on how much of a nap I'll need to take. I looked at gasbuudy.com and it looks like I'll not have to worry too much about gas prices. Tennessee, S Carolina and Kentucky are all on the top ten cheapest gas price state's list. S Carolina was 2nd or 3rd on the list @$2.03 on avg.

Can't wait to get down there. Woke up to 31 degrees and some ice.

Drive nice now, if you hit Florida you uh, missed it!!!!

Unfortunately looks like RT1 will be bowing out of the heavy hitters drinking marathon, new meds have my stomach doing flips and that is not something I or anyone wants to see, hopefully though my prozac/ridllin cocktail will see me through.
