Ive been listening to all my old CDs and hadnt heard this one in years. Wow! I had forgotten how good it sounds. I dont know how to classify them: Jazz, Bluegrass, Rock, Acoustic??? Bela Fleck fans take note! This is a remastered CD with good sound quality and the soundstage and imaging are excellent. Anyone heard any of the other Dixie Dregs CDs?
Well I have officially heard what, imo, is the perfect SDA song. I was amazed at the recording quality(actually a remaster).
The song is "Scarborough Fair/Canticle" from "THE BEST OF SIMON AND GARFUNKEL"(1999). I've heard this song, literally, thousands of times and it was like rediscovering a lost treasure. Actually, almost every song on the cd is very, very well done. A must have.
If you have your SDAs set up properly you will be in for a treat. I was/am amazed. On top of it all is, it's also a beautiful song.
Paul Simon is a genius.
Old post to respond to but adding......
All of 'em. Look for "What If?" one of their finest. Oh, and on a side note grab a copy of Steve Morse's-"High Tension Wires" (lead guitarist for the dregs- solo effort)
Good post Honestaquarian! Some new additions to the list, I'm goind to give them a try!
I love Paul Simon and Garfunkel. However, just saw Simon at Jazz Fest in the Big Easy and I was quite disappointed. Lionel blew him away. Yes, Lionel Ritchie. Who'd have thunk it...
Thank God for different opinions. Imagine the world if we all wanted the same woman
