You got it. I think he did find his place, and it included a reasonable haircut...

Let's see if memory serves it was summer or close to summer of 73'

Blue Oyster Cult Opened - thier first year on the road and gave an amazing show.

I can't remember the name of the second band, but they got into trouble for calling everyone onto the floor. It will come to me, I'll edit and add when I remember (I hate getting old)

Third Band - Rare Earth, excellent performance and big stadium sound indoors.
Without music to decorate it, time is just a bunch of boring production deadlines or dates by which bills must be paid. ..... Frank Zappa

Ok I think I've got it. Even tho I thought heart and fleetwood mac were both there because supposedly the women were arguing about what band would go on first or last I can't remember (i.e. when the concert started late, this was the rumor being passed thru the crowd).

Summer Jam - Fleetwood Mac, REO Speedwagon, Henry Gross, Kansas, Head East - Royals Stadium (Kansas City, MO) - June 18, 1976

Saw that tour.....Yngwie Malmsteen opened for them. I almost left, until I heard the BELL!!

    Allman Bros. 1983

Same here....never before that show had my ears actually physically hurt at a show. I dont know what the hell Malmsteen was doing, but he was doing it to the rest of the crowd too.

Some well placed wet toilet paper rolls to his head cut that **** off early and we got to see Angus show him how to correctly play a guitar.

I remember a fight broke out between some skins and heads in the mosh pit. It was brutal.

Alice Cooper, April 5th, 1979, Portland Oregon. The Babys were the opening act and they were GREAT!! They had people dancing in the ailes. When Alice and the boys came out, it was everything you could want for your first concert: great music, great stage show (no kidding, huh?) and for the encore, Cooper wore out a #32 Bill Walton jersey. This was tour Alice did shortly after getting out of a sanitarium for alcohol abuse. I also remember a bunch of religious protesters out front of Memorial Coliseum holding signs saying things like we would burn in hell for going to this, yada yada. I think my ticket cost about $6, festival seating was the norm back then, thank god:cool:.

You know there is an official live release of this show called Elton John-Here and There on the Rocket label. Disc 1 is at the Royal Albert Hall and Disc 2 is The Madison Square Garden show you attended.
