First concert was... lol i think it was my brothers band a year or two ago. first mainstream concert was lollapalooza last summer (i'm cheap, i don't like buying the tickets, :p) with the distillers, the donna's, jurassic 5, queens of the stone age, incubus, audioslave, and of course jane's addiction. it was freakin awesome. i got into the pit for audioslave and jane's addiction (it's a secret how, lol) and made my way to the very front where i found it hard to breath cause i got squished so bad, but well worth it, awesome, just awesome, lol.

on a side note richmond_man mentioning huey lewis and the news reminded me of "American Psycho" anyone ever see that movie? i don't think it was supposed to be, but i found it hilarious, lol.

"what's with the newspaper on the floor do you have a dog or something? a chao?
Do you like huey lewis and the news? this is their 1984 hit 'it's hip to be square'... hey (insert name here, forgot, lol) *axe*" lol

i haven't seen that movie in a while

Lets see, when i was a kid in the seventies, my father toyed with concert promoting. As far as I remeber, he booked The Osmands and Johhny Cash at the springfield civic center in mass. I got to see Johhny Cash, met him and June Carter hung out backstage and had front row seats. My brother went to the Osmands. Even at 8 years of age, I knew I got the better show.

My first concert as a teenager, was Roger Waters on The pros and Cons of Hithhiking tour with Eric Clapton on guitar. Clapton playing floyd tunes was great.

That ws over 600 concerts ago, and 300 of them Grateful Dead

I believe it was Deep Purple at the Fillmore (Carousel Ballroom) in S.F.
I think the other bands were Cold Blood and Taj Mahal. That would have been in around 1967.
The very next weekend I went to the same venue for The Jeff Beck Group and It's a Beautiful Day....can't remember the other band though....my brain was frying both times ;)

Hard to say, thw worst was easily Poison opening for David Lee Roth

I walked out of a Blues Travelelr show, they really sucked (1990)

In Magnitude, Live Aid was pretty amazing

Best recent concert was Yes at Mohegan Sun and Neil Young w/ Crazy Horse performing Greendale.

Metallica in '92. Great show with 4 hours of playing. I also met Lars in the bar the night before. Unfortunately I have no memory of meeting him, but I have lots of friends who tell me I did.

The Allman Brothers - 1970 - Before Duane and Berry Oakley were killed - What a show! This may have shaped my musical tastes over the years more that any other concert.

At Lakewood (now HiFi Buys) Ampitheater in Atlanta. Collective Soul opened up for Aerosmith. I think that was like 1995.
