Elton John, Thanksgiving Day 1974 at MSG in NY (I was 15) w/special guest John Lennon (they performed "Whatever Gets You Thru The Night", "Lucy In the Sky", & "I Saw Her Standing There"). :D

Tickets were $5.50, $6.50, & $7.50 with t-shirts going for $5.00 and programs $2.50. Never felt an arena rock like that.

You know there is an official live release of this show called Elton John-Here and There on the Rocket label. Disc 1 is at the Royal Albert Hall and Disc 2 is The Madison Square Garden show you attended.

Black Sabbath - September 1975 San Diego Sports Arena.

    Opening act - Brownsville Station.

This was right as Sabbath released Sabotage and they played Sympton of the Universe....my brain exploded.....and I drooled uncontrollably on myself... :)

Lynyrd Skynyrd (yea, the washed up version) and BB King at a music festival when I was 13. Not a bad intro to live music. Those who haven't seen him HAVE to see BB before he's gone. His diabetes are gettin pretty bad so not too many chances left :(

I think it was Frankie Valli & the 4 Seasons.

Don't go to many anymore. Working security for concerts in college really killed any enthusiasm I had for going. Anymore, concerts that I attend are put on by a symphony or a chorus group. I guess I really am an old ****.

RUSH opened for Mott The Hoople and then 38 Special took the stage and then Blue Oyster Cult headlined the show. 1975? or maybe 1976? That was the first laser light show I'd ever seen.

You guys are all very lucky to have seen some great bands in their prime. What I would have given to see Allman Brothers or Zeppelin in all their glory...

Are BaggedLancer and I the only sub 1984 births? It really seems like it.
