Let me tell ya’ll a story ‘bout a man named Jess,
Who could ride the roof to Charleston without his hair all in a mess.
The Polkies were a plannin’ an audio jamboree,
So Jess and Mark started packin’ for their trip to see TroyD.

Well the next thing you know Russ started packin’ up his stash,
He said “buy some stock in UPS boys and make yerselves some cash!”
Ole’ hotwheelman, not to be outdone,
Rented him a semi and started packin’ by the ton.

The invasion began on Friday after all had checked their lists,
Homeland Security panicked “it must be terrorists!”
F-15’s were scrambled to see what intelligence they’d yield,
But the sonic waves from Troy’s house had created a force field.

Bush summoned Ridge and said “Tom, this don’t compute!”
Ridge headed south and was dropped by parachute.
But, by that time, the SDA’s had created such a broad soundstage,
He missed his mark by miles, landing in DuPage.

O.k., is anyone bringing any of their offspring? My 10 year old son is dying to come with me as he just breathes audio all the time, his older brother is having a weekend with my dad at a steel guitar convention here in town and the younger one is feeling just a tad bit out in left field right now.

    hotwheelman,

I don't think there are any other kids, however, he is certainly more than welcome!

I just ordered a Philips DVD963SA SACD player, should be here in plenty o time. Supposed to be a great unit, looking forward to hearing what everyone thinks...

Man, I'm having some serious issues w/ the computer. I'll be there.

    Troy,

George is off of exit 5 of the NJTP. I am off exit 2. Since I don't know quite where he lives. I can't be sure of it, but it can't be more than a couple of hours. I can get to anywhere in the state in three hours or less.

    Mark,
Got the PM. I'll be calling in the reservations today.

    See you freaks this weekend

From way back on page 7 and updated with info gleened from this monster thread after page 7.

    To TD's list I added Russ's FedEx'd Mon 7's, hotwheelman's list , DAGLJAM6's List and my few items...

Appear to be some duplicates, but before you decide not to bring "yours", please communicate or we could end up without... Not sure that would be a bad thing though, as it is we are going to end up stacked on top of each other like a totem pole to fit in a room with this gear... Nice problem to have.

Dang, Bruce, I was just working on that, actually.

We can scratch the Carver C-16 (George has it now)

Also, we'll have a pair of CRS's courtesy of 'Polk' Paul....

Looks pretty sweet to me though...

Also, in the spirit of freebies.....

I've got a stack of probably, oh, 50 LP's that I came accross. Free for the taking. No guarantee of quality....flip through and take what you want.

Just an update on my end.....

I've got a keg of Miller Lite on tap...

Friday night, burgers, brats and beer. Plus those that show get to help set up.

Saturday, we've got pulled pork BBQ / fried chicken being catered by Dukes BBQ here in town.

Now, I tentatively said 10-6 on Saturday, but, honestly that can go earliler and/or later. I have nothing planned for Saturday night so if some want to hang out until whenever, that's fine. If we all want to go out somewhere, that's cool too. Play it by ear...

As I said, I just ordered a Philips DVD963SA for our use, it's been well reviewed so it should be cool.

Anything else that I can do to make things smoother for those travelling in, just let me know.

It appears that Dave is bringing some Large Advents...If that is the case, then I'll leave mine at home. It'll allow me to bring one of the small cars rather than the SUV (cheaper on gas too).

Doro said something about wanting to give a listen to my little Dayton Titanic sub which is no problem to load it up...plus I'm bringing a NAD C270 amp.

Well...I for one am playing on my way down and will be playing on Sunday...whether with some of you guys in Charleston or somewhere along the way back home

Add some RT2000p's to the list. That's about the easiest to get to and move. Have to deal with the stock jumpers, though, I normally use the LFE inputs...
