How to unsubscribe from a thread?

I must be blind. Can someone please show me how to unsubscribe from a thread?

  • Upper right hand corner of your comment is a star, uncheck it to unsubscribe.

    1. You have to click on My Bookmarks under your profile (unless you’re using the mobile version, which has a very different layout). This will list all your subscribed threads.
    2. Next to the title of each subscribed thread, you’ll see a yellow ⭐️ icon. Click on the star to unsubscribe. The star should change color (white).

There's no "upper right HAND corner".

It's just the "upper right corner".

    What is this "hand" nonsense?
  • Your quote of me is wrong, I didn't type hand in all caps. You obviously have a lot of time on your "hands"...

  • Ok, when I go to Bookmarks under my profile, it says I don't have any bookmarks.

In that case, you should be fine. You are not subscribed to any threads.

The “hand” in “upper right hand corner” might be superfluous, but it is perfectly acceptable (and common) usage.

I keep getting email notifications though for the "Polk Signature Series Official Discussion" thread.

Yeah, how come no one ever says lower left foot corner?
I think I'm going to start using it, trendsetter-wannabe that I am...

So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

You need to edit your notification preferences in your profile.

    1. Open your profile, and click on the Edit Profile button:

    2. On the right hand side of the screen, click on Notification Preferences:

    3. You probably have the option to be notified about discussions that you have commented in checked.

It bookmarks the thread so you can find it easily from the bookmarks menu, or get notified about replies to it (although, as shown above, you can still get notified without a bookmark).
