I like the crimson color. Let us know how low sax, strings and pianos sound after the upgrade.Don't take experimental gene therapies from known eugenicists.

Aren't the inductors supposed to be mounted at opposing directions??? I believe so.

Brian, Are you performing the TL Upgrade? Never mind, I see the RDO-198 tweeter boxes after a second look.
Where do you come up with the Replacement Inductors? -
The small ones on the board I got from PartsExpress and Madisound. And I bought the 16mh off of Larry a few months back. But he got them from here.

Thanks! Your set-up and your 2B's look fabulous, I'm sure will sound as good as they look when the new x-overs and parts have some time on them.
N'joy!!!

I really hate to tell you but your using the wrong inductors, The DCR is to low and the wire gauge (AWG) looks to big.
This is what you should have special ordered from PartsExpress
0.40 mH, 22 AWG, Part No. 1489,
1.25 mH, 20 AWG, Part No. 1137,
2.50 mH, 20 AWG, Part No. 1695,
Here's some link's to read on inductor replacement.

Nit-pic the smaller discrepancies of the inductors while Polk had the driver values all over the place.Don't take experimental gene therapies from known eugenicists.

Sorry.
No I'm glad you said something! After browsing through DarqueKnight's deal it's definitely clear that having the correct AWG is crucial. Thanks! I'll contact PartsExpress and get those ordered.
The Night is Dark and Full of Terrors -
You may have to order from a UK Jantzen distributor. Last I checked, Parts Express wasn't doing special orders anymore.

Well after some delay I'm back at it.
So I've decided to make some sweet cups at work out of some aluminum. Which I'll incorporate the neutrik connector into it. Which means the holes I made in the bottom corners need to be plugged with a dowel rod.
However to do it right and completely conceal that plug. I need to peel off the original veneer to place a new one over it. So that's where I'm at for the time being.
Anybody on here painted the inside of a cabinet before?
The Night is Dark and Full of Terrors -
If you don't have a shop or ventilation area you can just roll some thick auto primer on and brush the corner areas

Just finished up the new cups.

Whoa nice side panels!!! Looks like the center strip is aluminum? Hard to tell wood species from the pics, what type did you use? Stain/finish? Also how did you attach to the sides? Can you post some close ups? I'm currently in the middle of re-doing my 1C's. Those are very nice Brian. Doing anymore?

Yep I finished up resealing and painting the insides. I replaced the veneers on the backs. The last two big things I need to do is mount the new xovers. As well as build a fixture for the 16mh inductors so they can mount on the bottom.

Yea here's the old thread. The wood caps are just the standard Ash and I put like 3 coats of stain on them. I just used some construction adhesive to attach everything. The Night is Dark and Full of Terrors -

Those terminal plates turned out nicely. Looks like 6061 or 7075. Just in time for Christmas too. There's nothing like Burl Ives in SDA lol.Don't take experimental gene therapies from known eugenicists.

Thank you! yea it's 6061. I'd like to have used stainless, but I don't have enough time. The Night is Dark and Full of Terrors

As for placement of the xovers how does this look? I don't think it'll disrupt the airflow?
The Night is Dark and Full of Terrors -
Airflow? Plan on porting the Brian lol
I do not think that will be a problem area. The old XO was on the cup 3" below. If you are concerned how about just below if the driver wires will be lobg enough. -
