Missing Announcements?

Where did all the other announcements with good info go, namely wiring diagrams?

They're in the same place the System Showcase is...
Seriously, good question. Maybe PM Ken?So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

A quick search leads me to believe "System Showcase" got blown to oblivion when the forum was converted to the new "Vanilla" I assume "Ken" is one of, or the main mod, but I do not know the specific username you are referring too.
-
I noticed them missing when I checked the forum last night. I have no idea what happened.
I'll ask. -
Vanilla is looking to see what happened. Can anyone remember what the missing thread titles were?
-
In the 2 Channel section there were the MIT Demo and Backert Labs threads. In this section were all the Schematic and Vintage Parts threads.

Should I laugh or should I cry that the powers that be do not even know what they lost?
Hang in there Ken. We all know you have a tough job ...yes I'm serious Ken I'm not trying to be snarky at all. -
IIRC, the schematics were originally posted by Mark (doro) circa 2010?
Maybe they can search all of his started threads and see if they're still there.
And my comment about them being in the same location as the Showcase was, indeed, meant to be snarky .
But certainly NOT at Ken, for the record. So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

I don't remember the titles. Worst case I was going to see what I could find via the web time machine when I had the time. Most of the ones I referenced were pretty static. I would think the forum and software should have some change logs or past thread references. Maybe a web time machine expert can dig them up quickly if nothing exists. My old web time machine search site for idiots died years ago. I haven't found a replacement simple site or method that I remember well enough to use efficiently.
-
I want that information to be available...but I'm GLAD that it's not taking up space at the top of the subforum index page(s).
There's got to be a better place for that stuff to reside. -
It appears that they've not been deleted, but had the "sticky" designation removed, this placed them back in "general population". The reason I asked for thread titles was to be able to search for them with specific wording.
-
Ken,
Some of the ones I was able to find. The search function here is beyond dismal.

Ken, Vanilla should be able to go to their last back up to get all of this info.....that is IF they actually back up anything.Political Correctness'.........defined

Using http://web.archive.org. this was a capture back in September 2015. This site is pretty easy to use, but their archive is smaller. It is something in case Vanilla is not set for backups.

Bump. It would be nice to hear something about this.
-
I've forwarded this to Polk in Baltimore, they sent the information to the IT department in Vista, CA. So far there's not been any information to report, but I will as soon as I have some.
-
Ken, in the meantime you can reinstate the links provided here.Political Correctness'.........defined

Ken, thank you for reinstating them. We are still missing one though. http://forum.polkaudio.com/discussion/55888/polk-audio-speaker-wiring-schematics-more-stereo-dimensional-array-sda
I still wonder how they disappeared, and curious if there is an automated way to find or restore what got changed from sticky status. I think some other groups lost their stickies as well. -
Thanks Ken. Appreciate them back. Used them a few mins ago to make sure i had correct stufffffff in there..

No problem, glad to be of help.
