You're the Polk forum hero, no one here knew how to search eBay.
Yes, quite.
Maybe he can teach us to use google, too -- I am mystified by this "web searching" lingo all the hep cats are jiving about.

@StantonZ
Was it one of the special editions?
They released it letterboxed and pan & scan. The reviewers all said get the pan & scan for some reason. I just couldn't and got the letterbox.
I believe it was, because I had to "re-buy" it (originally had the non AC-3 version). I'm allergic to pan & scan.
What kills me is how much we used to pay for these things...especially the box sets...and now they're worth like $1.
@StantonZ
You should see what some of the more rare titles with Dolby EX are going for on lddb.com. Especially the movies that were released on laser in 2000 (*the last year they made them in America*) and 2001 (*the last year in Japan*) -
found some music laserdiscs, genesis, Peter Gabriel, etc but they
wanted a Lincoln a piece for them... -
@rednedtugent
All of the DVL series laserdisc players that replaced the CLD series have AC-3 RF outputs. Only the later CLD series (post 1995) have AC-3 RF outs. -

This is one of the FEW DVL-91's (*the last of the Elite Laserdisc/DVD combi players and one of the last of the Laserdisc players period*) I have come across which has the new Pioneer logo.
I have one. -

if it doesn't play vinyl too then forget it.

That'll be Rev2.0 I think they just have to push out a BIOS update.

Say, Rednedtugent and HonestAquarian, Scotty mentioned he has 60+ laserdiscs he's going to be selling. He hasn't made a list yet, but you might want to contact him. He mentioned the discs in a "For Sale" thread for a vintage CD/DVD player.Sal Palooza

Unfortunately it's an up-conversion (via AVR) of a composite signal, so not so good; no more S-Video inputs these days. Almost looks better via S-Video to my (old) projector. I set my pre/pro to upconvert Laserdiscs to 720P
How well the picture looks depends almost entirely on what your pre/pro or avr is doing to the signal. Nevermind what cables you are using or display device.
I noticed Laserdiscs tend to look much better on CRT's which scan lines as opposed to later technologies and displays that show pixels.
I've seen some AMAZING pictures coming off of Lasers on CRT projectors that were being upconverted back in the day.
