So, I give him the link to the USAudiomart ad, we do our business through there. Honestly if the information isn't blocked to those with less than 100 post count, what does it really matter? This is one of the few forums I've dealt with that requires a minimum post count to buy/sell...perhaps I'm missing the reason? At any rate, it's beyond the scope of this thread, which is to put it in the hands of someone who can apprecaite it.

And I would love to sell this baby, but I won't give it away for some of the offers I've had. Anybody expecting to pay HCA-2200 prices (or less) for a 3500 can kindly **** off, and I've kindly and politely told a few people that.

When I bought my first one, I missed three before it because they went that fast.

When I went to buy one I missed a few to bidding wars and flat bad timing...took me months to find a clean one worth paying money for...that was this amp.

Maybe too many people afraid of older amps? Meh, every Parasound I've owned that was decently cared for was fine...even the one that fell out of the box during shipping! Got some money back on that one.

It's amazing to me how fleabay survives charges those kinds of fees from a $1400 item...
So I guess there is no negotiating on fleabay as that would eat up most profits for gear flippers..
I will never use them..

I'm kind of sketched out by Ebay/PayPal buyer protection policies. it's saved me on a couple of bad deals, but I've also read where unscrupulous buyers screw the sellers, stories of item swap and claims of damage, etc. It seems like a real crap shoot selling stuff on there, nevermind the fees.

I just used the eBay Final Value Fee calculator for $1400 and it came out to $140. There are small listing fees, and then PayPal gets a cut of about 3% on top of that, so somewhere around $200 in fees.

That was based on a $1400 Buy-it-Now, so you wouldn't have to worry about the price going too low.

I like audiogon too, I bought this amps replacement from there, great experience.

However, until I'm desperate to move it, I'd rather see another polkie get it. This community has been good to me, I'd like to share the love in house.
