I've loved this amp, I've loved everything it has done for my A9's and my music and movie listening life as a whole but on to bigger and better things!

I purchased this from a high end audio store that was upgrading, it has spent 18mo with me in one location powering A9's. Amp is in nearly flawless condition. Includes both factory power cords. It has only the most minor of scuffs on the handles, no major dents or dings. The ONLY flaw is the power indicator for the left channel is sluggish to switch from green to red when you power it on which has no bearing on the function of the amp.

You will receive the amp in a heavy duty cardboard box as pictured, wrapped in plastic and surrounded by enough foam to survive any shipping. Though I use UPS which I've had very good luck with sending heavy, large audio gear. (never FedEx) Shipping will be around $100 to the west coast and up to $175 for the east coast. Please use UPS to estimate shipping from 84103, box size 23" × 28" × 15" 110lbs. I will get you exact shipping for purchase.

Asking $1400 plus actual shipping and I will split the PayPal fees.

Heh, I though it would be my last amp ever too. But Yes! Make this your last amp ever! I'd really love to see this go to another Polkie, maybe another A9 owner so they too can talk about how awesome it is to have LOTS of power going to your A9's, or anything else that's power hungry.

I know Tony...I know...and it's replacement has been purchased! How's about a Fully upgraded Big Sky Audio HCA-3500 with ZERO hours!

So, if this sucker doesn't sell before it arrives I may have the chance to do some A/B listening, if it takes even longer to sell I may have the chance to hear how the new one breaks in as compared to the old one. If it still doesn't sell after that I may have to consider lowering my price, but that'll take a solid...what...100 hours?

In the mean time I've got a space picked out right next to the rack the current amp is hanging it's **** out of. If you didn't notice i had to cut to make this sucker fit and still be able to close the door on front, so it needs some space to be sure.

Sure wish I could pull the trigger on this amp. I would imagine it would really wake up my SDA 3.1's. By the way what are there so many out going speaker? wires? GLWS!

The amp has dual posts for each speaker to bi-amp/bi-wire in a shotgun formation. Also notice the dual power cords, something a true dual mono design should have. Someone needs to pick this up pronto.

I would love to pick it up for my A9s, I can handle picking up the 90lbs it weighs but my wallet can't handle what it costs........ yet.

Dang that's funny! I re-took a lot of pics because my socks were in it, this one slipped through!

What Tony said about the wires is correct, and it did make a subtle difference Bi-wiring. First I tried the top posts of the speakers, then the bottom posts, both with the factory jumper plates then speaker wire connecting them and finally full bi-wire after a couple hours of a/b and terminating wires I found bi-wire to be superior. Slightly more midrange and high end clarity of plugging into the top posts only, and more bass detail and punch of plugging into the bottom posts. So bi-wire stayed.

However, it was a very subtle difference. I don't think I'd ever know if I didn't go back and forth a few times with different pieces of music. But now I know what I'll be ordering from Blu Jeans cable when I get around to it. Next question will be 14ga star quad cable, or individual 12ga cables...But that's a whole other discussion.

Really?? I figured with the ultra sonic welded connectors it would be an upgrade over the generic Snap AV 12ga CL3 stuff I'm using now? Plus I want to do the VR3 upgrades as well but both those will be a ways off now, or at least until I sell this bad boy!

One thing I didn't mention, when I first got this I opened it up and used canned air to get blow outnwhat minimal dust there was. Ever since when not in use it sits inside the rack with the door closed. Even though the back is open this seemed to limit how much dust settled on it compared to say the speakers or projector. Even so it got regular wipe downs with a dry microfiber cloth.

Doubly so now that it's replacement has arrived and has taken the OEM units place!

Thinking about working a shipping deal with the Pelican case the new one arrived it, ie for extra protection ship it to the new owner in the case if they're willing to ship the empty case back to me, or buy it outright. If interested PM me for details.

I used those Pelican case before where you just cut pieces of foam how ever you like. that is a neat idea except for how much weight it may add to shipping cost,
I think if you double box and put foam all around should do it, then you just hope they dont drop it from a lot of height. but those heavy beast are scary to ship

Agreed! It's a lot of weight potentially falling on sharp corners. The double box I have for the 3500 is pretty burly and has plenty of foam to keep it safe, but should someone want the box and/or want the added shipping security the option is there.

Yea My 3.1's are right there with you.... Also they are waterproof and float IIRC. That is why they are called the company pelican iirc. Could be bs though.
