Just finishing watching and listening Steve Hackett's "Darktown" on youtube.com

ELO is great, also ELP, Alan Parsons and Procol Harum. The stings on Conquistador are awesome if you listen to them with headphones or a good sound system.

Amanda McBroom & Lincoln Mayorga; "West of OZ," LP Sheffield Lab Direct Disc Recording, Limited Edition LAB 15 (SL 46)
This record was never opened unfortunately despite double plastic wrapping the cover got wet in the flood however the record was safe because of the high quality plastic inner sleeve.
This is a very dynamic recording. The dynamic range is incredible. Her voice is angelic at times, everything is very detailed and the imaging is very holographic.
Excellent recording. -
Ameican Gramaphone; "Sampler III," LP American Gramaphone AG-366
Very Dynamic.
Opened for the first time today. -
Amanda McBroom/Lincoln Mayorga; "Growing up in Hollywood Town" LP
Sheffield Lab Direct Disc Recording, Limited Edition, LAB 13 (SL41)
This is a true audiophile recording, very dynamic, very detailed, excellent imaging.
Amanda won a Golden Globe Award for "The Rose" and this album had a Grammy Nomination for best engineered album. . .I think that was back in the mid 80s when the Grammy's were serious about music. -
Amanda McBroom; "Dreaming," LP Gecko Records, Audiophile Mastered with Monster Cable, to be exact Monster Cable's Interlink Reference A and M1 Speaker Cable. There is even a picture of Noel Lee on the cover.
There is no pressing number. This is another of Amanda's incredible recordings. The version of "The Rose" on this record is by far the greatest rendition of this song I've ever heard. When listening to this LP with my eyes closed I can visualize her lips in the image. . . this recording is astounding!!! -
Erich Leinsdorf conducting the Los Angeles Philharmonic; "Wagner:" LP Sheffield Lab - LAB 7
Die Walkure: Ride of the Valkyries
Tristan und Isolde: Prelude to Act I
Gotterdammerung: Siegfried's Funeral Music
Siefried: Forest Murmurs
I've loved Richard Wagner's work since I was a freshman in high school. This is the single greatest recording I've ever heard of these musical pieces. The dynamics are breathtakingly, startling, and enthralling. I've played this copy quite a bit so there is a little bit of crackle throughout the record but nothing serious. I'm still on the hunt for another copy though. -

Halo, is that the senor and Senorita who play incredible Spanish style Guitar?
If it is I heard them on Letterman one night and it was so good I sat up and put my glasses on to watch/listen them.

I've been a Bowie fan from way way back. . . did you know he played the sax at the end of "Walk on the Wild Side" by you know who?
PS: I saw him five times in concert. The most deafening concert I was ever at was at the Tower Theater in Upper Darby, PA where he played for 3 1/2 hours straight . . . I couldn't hear for a week. -
Norah Jones; "Come Away With Me," SACD Blue Note Records 7243-5-41747-2-8

I'm not a big country fan but this is one great LP plus I don't think anyone can tell or sing a story like Kenny Rogers or Johnny Cash. -

Supertramp; "Crime Of The Century," LP, A&M Records A&M SP-3647
I purchased this record in 1974 and it is still in excellent condition. I've played this thing on many crappy turntables but I took good care of it. If I played this record once, I've played it hundreds of times. This is an engineering & mix marvel. It is a very dynamic record and the imaging is superb.
There is a story behind the back of the album cover but that is for another day.
This is one I will be playing over and over again. -
MFSL: Supertramp; "Breakfast In America," LP, Pristine, Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab, Original Master Recording,
