Enoch Light and His Orchestra (featuring Harpsichord and Exotic Percussion): Far Away Places
Command RS 822SD {LP, stereo, gatefold, 1961}
The stereo separation on this disc is amazing. The music is amusing bachelor pad space-pop-exotica.
This takes me back to my college girlfriend's house the day in 1968 her dad brought home the humongous Magnavox stereo console system (radio and phonograph) for the living room and cranked up some Mantovani records.Everywhere is within walking distance if you have enough time. -

This release contains the remastered "rough mix" from 'Floodland'.
The mix is different to the other releases of Floodland (additional keyboards and so on).
That Album brings back memories. That is the MoFi release? I haven't played my original CD in some time. Time to dig it out and rip it to the server.For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore... -

I must have more than a hundred albums on the Command / Enoch Light label. I posted one only a few days ago. The recordings are very good.

Toad were a Swiss hard rock band formed in Basel, Switzerland, in 1970. The band went through lineup changes, but the longest lasting and most consistent lineup was a trio of Vic Vergeat on lead guitar and vocals, and ex-Brainticket members Werner Fröhlich on bass and vocals, and Cosimo Lampis on drums.Speakers: Polk Lsim, ATC SCM19 v2, NHT SuperzeroSpeaker Cables: DH Labs, Transparent, Wireworld, Canare, Monster: Beer budget, Bose ears -

'Definitive Edition' limited to 1000 copies. Reproduces the original 'Dark Round The Edges' colour gatefold sleeve. Includes a 20 page 12" booklet, poster, and printed outer bag.
Dark is a psychedelic rock band from Northampton, England, UK, that was formed in 1968.
The band released one album, Dark Round The Edges, in 1972. This legendary progressive rock band, which was responsible for the UK's most expensive album, was formed by Steve Giles whilst at school in Northampton in 1968. They met local entrepreneur Alan Bowley who'd recently converted a derelict house into a recording studio, and this led to four acetates of "RC8" and "In The Sky". They performed at a few local gigs, and as their playing got tighter, decided to go into SIS Studios, Northampton, with engineer Alan Bowley, to record an album. The six tracks, written and arranged by the band were recorded over a weekend in 1972 and consist of melodic progressive rock laced with lots of fuzzy guitar riffs. Only a handful of copies were pressed, and Giles, who had a strong interest in photography, made the first twelve copies into full-colour gatefold sleeves, complete with booklets of photographs stapled together, augmented with handwritten notes. They were handed out to band members and their girlfriends. The band then split with Clive and Martin going their own ways, and Steve and Ron continuing to record for their own pleasure until 1977 when Ron married and moved to Cornwall. - Discogs

Actually this is the band The Legend with a different name. It was their management team to change the name to Dragonfly when they bought a painting that featured a dragonfly, that then became the front cover of the album, from some Sunset Strip street artist. -discogs
The Legend were allowed to record their 2nd album without the aid of session men. However, the set would actually be credited to Dragonly, the result of a front cover painting that featured a dragonfly, bought by the management team from some Sunset Strip street artist. The album was released in October 1968, but by then The Legend/Dragonfly had already broken up after an argument over copyright

TEKE::TEKE Shirushi LP;
TEKE::TEKE is a Montreal-based psych-rock group composed of guitarists Serge Nakauchi Pelletier & Hidetaka Yoneyama, bass player Mishka Stein, drummer Ian Lettre, flutist Yuki Isami, trombone player Etienne Lebel, and performance artist and vocalist Maya Kuroki.
Featuring traditional Japanese instruments, flute and trombone alongside raging guitars and a pulsing rhythm section, TEKE::TEKE creates a sound reminiscent of 1960’s and 70’s era psychedelic Japanese soundtracks, with a frenetic, modern twist. -DiscogsSpeakers: Polk Lsim, ATC SCM19 v2, NHT SuperzeroSpeaker Cables: DH Labs, Transparent, Wireworld, Canare, Monster: Beer budget, Bose ears -

Hailing from Pasadena, this heavy rock proto-metal group recorded just one demo record in 1972 that wasn't released until 1995.
A gig at The Beach House in Venice Beach caught the attention of Kim Fowley - who, together with Blue Cheer/Bang producer Michael Sunday, was looking for "America's answer to Black Sabbath". After hearing Sudden Death rehearse, Fowley and Sunday invited them to recorded a professional demo at Columbia Records studio on Sunset Boulevard in March 1972. The session lasted nearly six hours, with the band essentially playing live in the studio. Unfortunately the long-awaited contract never materialized, leaving Sudden Death's album in the can until Rockadelic Records acquired the tapes in 1995. Within a year of the Columbia session, Sudden Death had mutated into LA club band Skyfire.
