I am going to do that for sure from now on left, now I have to contact ups and stop the claim. My local branch manager is a horrible person who eventually hung up on me and I could tell she was showing off to the person that works there. She kept raising her voice really loud as as if she was pretending to be dealing with a super difficult customer.

    Pretending?

I would think his story is true since he bought an amp from me in the past and didn't want me to insure the item. Good luck with your ups dispute, pfb!

I couldn't read all the replies ,but in this day and age isn't UPS and Fex and just about any delivery company have a GPS based system? They can pin point the guy's/gals truck to I think within a mile.

UPS can pinpoint the truck to within 20 feet, the handheld device is within 50' based on update speed, likely within 20' as well. Fed ex has a similar system.

This is a self inflicted wound.
You fill out a shipping form and specify insurance and signature.
UPS may have dropped off the package correctly and it might of been stolen.
They may of dropped it off and the buyer screwed you. They may have made a mistake in delivery.
But if you had done the insurance and signature required, you wouldn't be here
bitching about it. When dealing with unknown parties, this is a must.
    You gambled, you lost.

Well technically I came out of it with an extra $60 but yes it was real bad. There was a feeling of no hope and I was just getting my head around accepting the loss.

You know my EX son-law used to pull this all the time, order something and say he never got it, so I believe you.
Why was the other person be driving around with the package?
So if someone showed up to look for it, it would not be found?
That's pretty stupid in itself as people are getting items stolen from their cars all the time.
I wonder how many other people he has done this to since it was Ebay there should be a list of people in the feedback section.
Hmmm you could do some contacting and maybe get him in a whole lot of trouble if he has pulled this before.

How did you come out with an extra 60 bucks???

That would mean you pocketed money on this transaction that is not yours, otherwise known as theft.

Hope your further humiliation here, and the couple days of torture was worth it. I think for most sane people it's not.

I am glad this worked out for you, but if you don't learn anything from this then you are an idiot. And I am not only talking about insuring for the proper amount next time.

I have learned some hard lessons in my time and very good ones. I know some people love this kinda crap from me so enjoy because surely nothing bad like this can happen ever again and this thrad must be the last of its kind from me. Sorry for everyone who thinks I am an attention **** but I was just sharing my bad experience and looking for solutions, is that not what the clubhouse is for?

I am however fully aware that when this happened to me and I posted there was going to trouble in the form of ridicule but also that there are some real smart guys who could offer some other avenues just to try. Try I did and I got the best possible outcome I could ever dream of from this most horrid nightmare.

I see it happening constantly since you're the one sounding like a broken record. You come in here with your exaggerated lies (and you were a liar since the title of your thread says you lost $4000 because of UPS, which in fact is not true). Every other week there's something outlandish that has to happen to you that you must make apparent on this board.

When I posted about the Porsche you were calling me a liar all the time. So this time your only calling me an idiot, I think I get it now. Thanks for clearing that up hotlips, I owe you a big one

Uh you are a liar in that thread - because the thread on the 986 forums caught you read handed lying. Perhaps that's why they kind of disowned you when I linked the thread here to them?

Why are you still going on about some sarcastic post I made on a forum I dont even visit 4 months ago. Who disowned me? what nonsense are you talking about. I dont care about cars or anyone who posts about them because audio is my hobby. The fact that you went there to check up to see if I had a porsche makes you seem like some crazy freaky stalker, dude your like some weirdo crazy stalker lol

I know I post my mishaps but your posts and responses are really petty and bitter and all you try do is to start up crap. Everythread I post in your there just talking sh#t. Really dude I think its time to stop post stalking me and I am flattered that you devote all this energy and time but lifes too short, go buy yourself a pair of skinny pants and find a nice girl and you will forget all about me in no time at all I guarantee it

Seriously, you're going to accuse me of trying to start crap? Are you the pot or the kettle? I'm not a stalker - someone else actually posted that you were on the 986 forums (in the same thread mind you). If you think that because I can speed read your posts and reply within the same 60 second timeframe as "devot(ing) all this energy and time" then you are sorely mistaken. Maybe it takes all your brain power and half a day to come up with some weak response, but for the rest of us not so much.

I do remember you were the skinny pants boy. I'm not the guy with a license newer than my last two bottles of shampoo, or the guy who pushed his tv over, or the guy who bought a car without knowing anything about it. I have a thing called responsibility, like you know - perhaps insuring my items for full value and not blowing the entire situation out of proportion on this forum before the matter is settled. It's like you post the end result that hasn't even happened yet. The end result that will illicit the biggest response out of pity. We do pity you, but not for your misfortune. We pity you for being an ignoramus, we pity you for being such a troll.

You start a **** thread, you're going to get **** talked in it. Common sense dude. Wait, I forgot you have none.
