    PFB,

Learn a lesson: don't be penny wise and pound foolish.

If you ship expensive stuff, pay for full-value insurance. It isn't that expensive in view of the risks in shipping anything.

    Just my humble opinion.

I concur with Jesse. Take a screen shot of the confirmed delivery and tell the seller to report the theft to his home owners insurance... Other than that, you are not liable, based on what you have stated here.

This ^^^. Even though you should have had it insured at full value, that doesn't matter in this case as they won't pay for product thats delivered/undamaged. Theft on your doorstep....homeowners insurance....and you'll need proof of delivery. Even then it's an iffy proposition.

Yet another reason why too much info placed out on the internet can hurt you. Maybe this guy is scum and is trying to get something for nothing, or maybe he told too many people what he had coming and they just staked out the dudes house that day. Either way, I would not send this guy his money back, and.....for Christ sake PFB, INSURE AT FULL VALUE AND REQUIRE SIGS.

There is still a good chance that UPS delivered to the wrong house and if he is lucky his neighbor will be bringing it over soon. My house exists in the twilight zone of parcel delivery, even though it is a residential neighborhood with the street sign not more than 50 feet from house and my house number in big letters in stone on the front, almost every FEDEX packages goes to one of my neighbor's house. Over Christmas I had deliveries due on a Friday and Saturday from FEDEX. Didn't receive either delivery. The next day a neighbor shows up with one of the packages.

The other package FEDEX does a ground trace and the driver swears he delivered the package to my house. We know he didn't because it had snowed earlier in the day and there were no footprints leading to the door. So we contacted the vendor who sent the package (WeatherTech) and they were great about it and just shipped us new item - sig required. Well a month later we get a call from a different neighbor next door to the other neighbor and says he has our package. Well, it turns out that the neighbor had ordered a set of car mats from WeatherTech that were delivered at the same time as mine package and my package was mistakenly included in their delivery. The reason the neighbor didn't call me right away (they're great neighbors) was that they ordered a entire set of car mats and at the time wondered why it came it 3 boxes instead of two but didn't realize until a month later when they got around to install then that they had an extra car mat.

Never under-value. If you had valued it properly, it would have cost a few more bucks, but they would have automatically added signature required. Also, use FedEx.

Its the young girl at the ups stores mistake.

Can't you guys read? It's all the little girls fault at the UPS store...it's always "someone else's" fault.

I've shipped and received 100's of packages over the years with UPS and Fed X, have never had a problem, not 1. I'm pretty sure UPS requires a signature with anything of value over 1K.

True or not this is something I would not of shared with the forum. Why not just tattoo a capital D and a Capital A on your forehead and post a picture of it with a thread called Check out my new Tattoo guess what I just did. Then we could all guess what you did to earn said Tattoo. Yep you should of kept this one to yourself.

$4000.00 could of bought you those big tires come spring time for the Boxter, now you will have to cruise around the Wells Fargo parking lot with factory rims and tires cursing the guy that ripped you off!!!

What did the proof of delivery say dropped off at front door perhaps? The best advice I have read was it should of been dropped off and picked up at the UPS hub with signature by consignee. Home insurance probably won't cover it plus there is a deductible and the hassle of filing a claim and the humiliation of explaning to the insurance agent of the whole fiasco.

I don't see why this should be a "concern" of yours. Some very prestigious members have taken you "seriously" for whatever reasons. But some of us wouldn't mind NOT seeing these posts on this site. At this point, we don't care if this is real or not.

As for lying, go read Sartre on BAD FAITH. Here's the simple version, when people lie about lying they eventually forget that they are lying and come to believe the lie. That's also a PRETTY GOOD description of the rhetoric of some Political Parties in the U.S.

Most humans know how to "lie". Some do it better than others. As for yourself. You seem to be an "amateur". lol At least make your "stories" more interesting, or LESS REPETITIVE. Go to your local college and TAKE A CLASS IN CREATIVE WRITING.

More IMPORTANTLY, The Wolverine was pretty good at least 3.5 maybe 4 stars out of 5!

Problem is there is only one solution ; you need to refund the money from paypal and learn the lesson. Expensive lesson to learn but that, in my eyes, is the ONLY solution.

PFB, you dont need to prove anything to us.

However it seems that recently lots of your threads are you mad at someone for something you should have planned for. Be it shipping powercords to the wrong people insured for the wrong amounts, this issue, having problems with your projector and screen due to tripping over them and breaking them, breaking your center channel Martin Logan, etc.

All I have to say is if the only constant in all of these broken or misshipped threads is you... then perhaps that says something.

And I am pretty sure you knew you didnt have any options for recouping your cash before you even typed up this thread. You called PayPal, they told you that if he filed a claim you would be force to pay. You called UPS and they told you similar. So your not "really" looking for helpful suggestions to fix things... because they cant be fixed.

And we are big boys here, so we are not super sympathetic on a GOOD day, let alone when it seems to be a trend with you.

Most of us are just watching this thread for entertainment value at this point, myself included.
