Beautiful ZLTFUL, curious how you're going to make that like a VTI. Any stability problems with that tall VTI Carl? Great link Enders, very nice, kinda like a Sampson rack.
None whatsoever. I do have a concrete floor under the carpet and pad though. I can knock on the marble slabs with my knuckles while records are playing without any issues at all. I have the same slab with spiked cones under both tables. I also replaced the wooden peg legs under the Dual with spiked feet and replaced the stock feet under the Music hall with Mapleshade radiused bottom brass footers. The VTI racks are sitting on the carpet without the spikes at the bottom. I removed them.Main System:

Thanks to all for some really good information and some really nice racks and set ups. Mickey how about some information and close ups of those stringed instruments, they look beautiful from a distance?

I bought three racks and configured them into two taller ones. They are 24" W x 20" D, but I rotated them 90 degrees to fit. They are very sturdy and versatile. You can configure them anyway you want.
I've been looking at these racks for awhile, love that there modular and you can get different spacing. Looks like you have the BL series which is the one I want, I prefer MDF boards over glass, only problem is theres no cable management. Wish VTI would add the cable management of the BLG series to this one. -

Yeah ZLTFUL, those racks look very nice indeed!
Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion."
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Thanks guys.
Really want to set them up but I have several coats to go to get the surface built up the way I want.
I also managed to knock out 5 cutting boards while I was putting them together. LOL."Some people find it easier to be conceited rather than correct."

What kind of feet did you use for the racks?
-
Used black chrome Dayton speaker spikes. The 2 piece kind that have a smaller spike the screws into the larger cone. Since the will be on laminate flooring, I plan on just using the little discs that came with the set to put them on the floor. The third one has divots for it in the tops of the other racks' legs."Some people find it easier to be conceited rather than correct."

You can buy optional cable management hardware for the BL series. I would have to rotate the racks 90 degrees to install it. The backs of my racks are positioned against the TV. I rototed mine because of space limitations.Main System:

Rack I built with unistrut and leftover glass for my simple upstairs AV system
and Basement audio racks; left is newer oak unit to hold Amps, right is my 80's era holdover.... -

Wasn't aware of that, I'll check it out Thanks -
A very good selection of Racks and Stands, both commercial built and self made. I have an old cabinet that I had made several years ago, I need to find something new also.

Nice setup Mike!

Crap...I just realized I haven't put up a finished pic...
Well mostly finished. Still need to organize things a bit better and get my TT upstairs."Some people find it easier to be conceited rather than correct."

Salamander and Timbernation were my inspiration.
Of course, now I want to build a set of open baffle project speakers using Zebrawood faces and then build the woofer enclosure out of solid maple at the bottom to match the stands lol."Some people find it easier to be conceited rather than correct."
