I use these VTI racks that I bought from racksandstands.com

I bought three racks and configured them into two taller ones. They are 24" W x 20" D, but I rotated them 90 degrees to fit. They are very sturdy and versatile. You can configure them anyway you want.

    Proton AA-1150 ~ Yamaha C-4 ~ Furman Elite-15 DMi ~ Sennheiser HD600 ~ Monitor Audio Silver RS8

    Dual 1229/Acutex M312 III STR ~ Music Hall mmf-5.1/Goldring 1012GX ~ Music Hall Cruise Control 2.0
    Home Theater 5.2:

Google flexy rack. It doesn't get more customizable than DIY

Beautiful ZLTFUL, curious how you're going to make that like a VTI. Any stability problems with that tall VTI Carl? Great link Enders, very nice, kinda like a Sampson rack.

Excellent, I love zebrawood but I've never worked with it. That should be very nice with the isolation cones.

How did you attach the shelves, dados and glue or are they screwed together and glued? Looking great!

I like the "Flexi-Rack" design. Simple, easy to construct; adjustable, sturdy, and scalable/configuable. The shelves on this one are Baltic birch plywood, with an extra (and not necessarily required) reinforcement underneath.

avec and sans flash (sorry the photos aren't better and the temporary collection of gear thereupon isn't more neatly configured!)

The only other racks I have are decidedly "old school"...

Yea Mhardy, I like that flexirack design as well, the Sampson racks use solid 11/4" rails, what thickness are the one's you show in the photos?

None whatsoever. I do have a concrete floor under the carpet and pad though. I can knock on the marble slabs with my knuckles while records are playing without any issues at all. I have the same slab with spiked cones under both tables. I also replaced the wooden peg legs under the Dual with spiked feet and replaced the stock feet under the Music hall with Mapleshade radiused bottom brass footers. The VTI racks are sitting on the carpet without the spikes at the bottom. I removed them.

I've been looking at these racks for awhile, love that there modular and you can get different spacing. Looks like you have the BL series which is the one I want, I prefer MDF boards over glass, only problem is theres no cable management. Wish VTI would add the cable management of the BLG series to this one.
