Shouldn't be foruming while driving!

Oh crap now you tell me! In all fairness, in my hour and a half drive each way through the middle of nowhere every day, if it wasn't for foruming and driving I may have dozed off and drove off a cliff. Now I know some of you are saying... And your point is???
No point. Thank you for keeping me alive one more day.Gustard X26 Pro DAC

Nice, not a lot of thought needed for that decision! -

What are your plans? I'm listening to the radio on my set right now. I bought them new in the late 80's.HT/2Channel: Emotiva MMC-1, Adcom GFA-555II, Polk SDA 3.1's, Teac TN-300 TT, Polk Center and Sub.
Bedroom system: Carver CT-24, Parasound HCA-800II, Monitor 10's
Additional projects: RTA 12c's -
I really don't have anything special planned for them. They will simply enter the rotation of a somewhat vintage setup that I've been tinkering with.
Currently it consists of a Yamaha CR1020, a Pioneer PL10, and some Boston Acoustics A150's. Other components come in and out of rotation as the need for tinkering develops. -
That will be a nice set up. Glad someone got them that is one of us.

Nice. Crazy low price. I would pounce on that. One driver isn't silver basket, so probably not the original driver. I did not know that they were countersinking the passives back then.George / NJ

Ones I have seen like that best I recall were not countersunk and as you said have the silver metal baskets. Probably shifted a magnet. Who cares for 50 bones that's a deal.

It’s raining monitor 5’s in Utah! All popped up within 3 days of each other…
And just when I list my Practically Perfect Pair too… 😖
Current Collection: Monitor 4a (Peerless), Monitor 5B (Peerless), Modified Monitor 7b (Peerless), RTA15TL (SL3000), SDA CRS+ (194’s), SDA SRS 2.3TL, R100's, R200’s, R300 🤩 -
Sweet!

That first one looks super early with that early method of grille attachment. Interesting that even that one has a countersunk passive radiator. Makes me think that they must've done that from the beginning with the Monitor 5. Not with the 7 though in the beginning. Things that make ya go hmmmm.George / NJ

I considered but probably not going for it personally. These are Series II for $75. They don't seem to have the updated tweeters because you can see the foam ring.

They take the drop-in Wuhans. I believe the pole-pieces may have copper shorting rings. Would be a fun project. They look well treated to boot.Don't take experimental gene therapies from known eugenicists.

These are fair game for one of us. I'll be noble rather than a hoarder But I will put the $75 in a slush fund towards a nice pair of CRS+.

This is pure evil at work, and $25 less for my slush fund. I really don't have a space for them. Don't have a 2nd system anywhere in garage, basement, or bedroom and don't really care to listen there......groan. PLUS this sort of thing never happens in NJ so it must be a trickGeorge / NJ
