The deals you guys get out there for vintage Polks is pretty much insane. That's $20 per driver.

I got my pair of AMT1Bs 35 years ago...
My boss gave them to me after his Brother, while having a loud party, had some idiot put 2x4s through both speaker's woofers and passives behind them on the rear side. I spent 300.00 on new woofers and passives.
My wife will divorce me if I sold them. I'm serious too.
She didn't marry me, she married those speakers.

He is a super nice guy, I purchased some CRS+ from him many years ago for Brian.
His garage is full of cool audio gear, yes he keeps it temperature friendly.
He has had those 1.2tl’s for years, he wanted me to do his crossovers but I just didn’t have the time, hell I barely have time for my gear.
Not sure I feel they are worth $1800 but he could be shooting high and working from there, either way the guy is a straight shooter and loves his audio.. -

He recently picked the AMTs up and refoamed the woofers. He said he was impressed with their sound. I remember Parts Express selling new Heils when they went back into production for like 300.00 ea..
I'm going to go look right now and see if ESS is still remanufacturing them. I think they stopped a while back. Maybe not...
So far...it looks like they only sell these styles of Heil air motion tweeters. this one is 84.00. This style has a very slim Vertical dispersal. My Triton Ones are proof of that. The ESSs have a lot better Vertical dispersion especially since the BIG Heils are bi-directional. BIG difference there.

Well today was one of those days. It started with me seeing an OfferUp posting for some very good looking SDA 2B's. The ad was posted around midnight. Unfortunately for me the seller had committed to sell to someone else who beat me to the punch.
Two hours later he informed me that the speakers were indeed sold. Bummer.
I told my wife that I was going to be in a foul mood for the rest of the day so please forgive me. Fast forward to about 7:30 pm when another Polk ad popped up.
1.2TL's for two hundred dollars about 30 miles away from me. I quickly contacted the seller who agreed to meet me at the storage facility where the speakers were being stored.
Jumped in my truck and off I went. Once in a while I hear about someone getting the Big Boys for a crazy-good price. Well now it's happened to me.
