I've decided to have another smaller run made, How many I don't know yet I'm still running the numbers, but I'm going to have to wait till after the 1st (Payday) to order them.
Also I made a couple little changes see pics and let me know what you think.

    old-board.jpg
    Old Design

    new-board.jpg
    New Design
    1. Moved P1 down.
    2. Move L1 to the right a bit to give you more room around the mounting hole.
    3. Added the ability to use a 3 pin connector for P & R if you want. (You'll have to pull the center pin)

Sorry Mark, I misread your earlier post. So I can put you down for 25-30 sets then?:eek::razz:

The only problem I see with the changes Tony is if you are using bigger caps than Sonicaps. I know if I was using the redesigned board with the 630V Clarity Cap ESA's I would have a difficult time putting the inductor where it needs to be on the new boards. That is and not having the 18uF cap not haning over the edge of the board. If you are using Sonicaps, it would be no problem though. Also, is there really an advantage to putting the wiring harness for the P and N spots? You can disconnect them from the inductor side, so I am wondering if there is a reason to be able to disconnect the P and N wires directly from the board and the inductor? Unless of course someone was to solder the P and N wires directly to the inductor and get rid of the quick disconnects. Other than that, I'm not sure I see an advantage. Please don't take this too critically Tony as I am simply speaking my mind, but others may see a good reason to have a wiring harness for the P and N spots.

I'm interested there just aren't boards for my speakers. Is there a technical reason there are no 2pc boards? I have SRS 2 B-B.

I haven't ordered the boards yet (was going to Friday) as Friday morning the kneeling & ramp on my van took a big dump on me so I had to have it flat bedded over to the shop today and hopefully I'll find out how much this is going to cost by tomorrow $$$$. So this might have to wait till next month.

Just wanted to keep everyone up to date.

    P.S. This will happen.

Sorry Greg, I moved L2 not L1. If you look at the pictures you'll see that L1 and C2-B are in the same place, I didn't move them at all. The connector for P & R is opitional you don't have to use it if you don't want to, it's there for those who want to use the big Solen inductor and want to use a connector for it.

Hey all got the boards ordered Thursday and it's going to take about 3 weeks to get them.

Here's a list of everybody who has first dibs, If I missed anyone just PM me or post here and I'll add you to the list
    F1nut 1, brgman 1, Plolkersince85 1, vcwatkins 2, headrott 1, DesertDog 1, Leftplumma 1, woofiepaws 1, fjross 1, nooshinjohn 2, greybeard 1, Dennis Gardner 1, dpgaloot 1, drumminman 1, Mike Reeter 1, WastelandWand'r 1, RickTfromAZ 1, GaryW 1, JayyCee 1.

That makes 21 sets by my count, dorokusai I didn't forget about you I ordered more than enough to cover everyone. Here's a pic the changes I made.

    new-board.jpg

    New Design
    1. Moved P1 down.
    2. Move L2 to the right a bit to give you more room around the mounting hole and you still have the same amount of room for C2-B.
    3. Added the ability to use a 3 pin connector for P & R if you want.
    4. The hole between P & R is for using a 3 pin connector, It serves no other function you don't even solder it.
    5. Everything else is the same.

For those of you who offered to pay up front, It's appreciated and thank you for the offer but I can't do that, If I don't have boards to ship I can't take your money. I'll PM everyone when they get here.

Hey everybody, sorry that I haven't been around much lately life has been getting in the way.

Any way the boards came in late yesterday, Let's just say I'm not pleased:frown:. Of the ones I've checked out electrically there fine but cosmetically there crap I wouldn't even give them away let alone sell them. On the 25 I've checked out the solder mask is really funky, wrinkly in spots and some kind of funky stuff or something that won't come off etc.., The silkscreen on most of the boards is ether offset to the left, bottom or both. I'm going to get hold of the company that made them for me and see if I can get them replaced or get a refund. So It's going to be a bit longer. If you want to see what I'm talking about check out this link for pictures www.gimpod.com/boards/boards.html

Sorry about this and I'll post any updates here as soon as I get them. ~ gimpod

Damn Tony I'm sorry to hear the company did a crappy job. What are/were they thinking? Idiots. Well, it's not like you were a paying customer or anything so....... Oh wait!! You are a paying customer!! I can't believe the board company let these go out of their manufacturing plant. Please keep us informed with regards of the outcome. They had better make it right for you. Otherwise the Polk Forum are going to have to e-mail them and get on their asses about it.:exclaim::exclaim::mad:

    Hey Tony,
A couple of thoughts come to mind if the manufacturer balks at making good on your order at no additional charge.

1- If the customer service manager appears unhelpful, take it immediately to the person in charge of manufacturing/production. The pics you posted clearly show the (lack of) quality of the boards. Move up the company's organizational chart as necessary. Surely somone will give a damn.

2- Let them know you'll post pics on other forums illustrating what you get when you order from them. This alone may be enough to create a friendly, helpful attitude as no one would pay for that crappy quality.

3- Have CP members, especially those waiting on these boards, email them complaining about the quality of their work.

Good luck with this annoying problem, and don't hesitate to let us know what we can do to help.

    Fred

Sorry about the lack of updates but I've been out for the last week or so with some kinda bug that was kicking my butt.

So this is where I'm at, I got the boards sent back a couple days ago on there dime so that they can "reinspect and initiate a remake" they should get them by Wednesday and hopefully I'll know what's going to happen by next weekend. I'll try and keep you guys posted as to what's going on. Hopefully they will make a new batch and do it right this time as that would be the only thing that would be acceptable to me. And yes this is the same place that made the first batch.
