Just put a set on my Custom AI-1 SDA Dreadnought case, while I was at it I put some Dynamat Extreme on the iniside of the case..

I wish I would have bought a couple more sets.

Just be sure to let us guys that ordered them the first time around, but he ran out, get theirs first.:biggrin::wink:. I check the website everyday to see if they are back in stock, I was busy when they first hit and missed the first run.

    Got mine yesterday. Nice spikes.

The threaded nut inserts that come with the spikes are a lot better than T-nuts IMHO.

Note that the threaded rod has a slot on one end where you insert a screwdriver to tighten them into the threaded nut insert (threaded nut goes in 1st).

If you are drilling holes for the hardware that came with the spikes what size drill bit should you use?

5/16th inch drill bit and then a #6 (metric) allen wrench to screw them in.

How do these do on thicker carpet?? Better than stock LSI spikes??

They won't pierce through the carpeting and into the sub-floor. Better than LSI spikes? I don't know the answer to that.

I feel the LSi's are more stable on them after installing them.

They dont pierce through the carpet and they are a little bit taller than the LSi stock spikes.

You do want to watch overtightening them however as the rod insert is longer than the LSi one.

Perhaps I will hold off, the stock spikes do a good job of piercing through the charming 70's shag that is in the apartment I am renting.

So I got seven spikes that are the same and one that is different. I called and they are sending me another spike. So I have one speaker spiked and one not. I asked my son if he could hear any difference. Without him knowing that one was spiked he pointed to the spiked speaker and said that one has better bass. The drums sound better. Voila!

I noticed the same thing along with an improvement in clarity.
    Awesome!

Now just waiting on the other spike to show up.

Actually a different shape? I got one that appears to be tarnished more than the others, but I'm hoping it'll buff out.

Are you speakers sitting on carpet, tile, etc?

Update- got an email from Meniscus today, they are on their way as of this afternoon... now, if I still have a mailbox to put them in next week (thanks, Irene ) I will get these installed.
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

I would be curious as to the final number of sets they sold to the group

Me too....I'll ask. He said he had another customer ordering 100 sets but I would hope we take some priority since we're 100 new customers, and potentially way more business. Mark has been really nice thru all this so let me know feedback guys. I hope it has been a positive experience for you all.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Personally it was awesome for me. There was a slight discrepancy as to cost (was billed for 1 more set than I ordered). 11 mins after I called him, he called me back to tell me it was all taken care of.

There is a link on pp 6, (see link below) but currently they say "sold out" so I'm just waiting for them to be restocked. I assume he will get more and still offer the discount. I think some people ordered multiples.

It seems as a few of us missed out. I wonder if the GB link was posted elsewhere.

I put these spikes under everything I could in my rig, I did have some spikes under my pre-amp a few months ago, and when I moved some things around I never put them back. I am not sure what I put spikes under that made the most improvment as I did it all at once but once again another tweek that took my rig to another level. If I had to guess, putting spikes under the CD/SACD player made the most improvment..

Putting spikes and dynamat on my Dreadnaught could have made a huge improvement as well. I do like that it is off the floor a tad now..

    Super quick response to e-mail.

Mark at Meniscus Audio said he has ordered more product and he'll let us/me know when they are available again. He's waiting on his supplier.
