Exactly!! and from $28 shipped to $22.50 shipped whats the problem??

Larry, I have no problem, still planning on buying the 2 sets to which I've committed. Just trying to give Doro some ammo for negotiations. $22.50 is a fine price, $25.00 would also be okay, but $21.50, which is just free shipping for arranging sales totaling about 800 pieces (100 sets), is better...

I think he would be much happier to sell $18/set to someone who orders 100 sets than 70 guys who ordered a combined of 100 sets.

It's just make them so much busier and takes a lot of man hour for processing 70 orders and pack and ship them.

So, I think it's fair to him and fair to us to pay the price he wants. After all, the price he is selling us is still a lot better than the listed price he listed in the store.

    +1

I think 22.50 a set is very fair. I may end up snagging two sets actually, but as of now I'm just down for one.

What do you guys think? Should I get a set of spikes for my Monitor 7A's? I've got a set of the original stands for them, so I'm not sure if they're really needed. Would spikes still be effective if I put them on the bottom of the stands? Would I maybe even want to get two sets for my 7A's, one set for the bottom of the stands and one set in between the stands and the speakers? Any input would be appreciated.

Curt, at that price I'd say go for it. I have stands for my Monitor 5B's and they are spiked. I think it helps and for $22.50 it sure can't hurt.

Would you recommend getting a set just for the bottom of the stands, or do you think there would be benefits from putting a set of spikes on the bottom of the speaker cabinets as well? I've got the original stands, which have a slight angle...so I'm not sure how well they'd sit on the stands with spikes. That probably wouldn't really work I suppose. So I'm guessing just a set for the bottom of the stands would be sufficient?

Stands for sure. No need to put them on the bottom of the speakers unless you don't use the stands. IIRC, they need to be on stands to sound their best.

    Mark,

    Here is the link:

    http://meniscusaudio.com/extra-points-p-1291.html

In order to get free shipping, choose Priority Mail and then they can enter the coupon code at the bottom of the payment screen. This will give them free shipping. If they happen to live in Michigan, we do have to collect sales tax.

Coupon code: Polkme It shouldn't be case sensitive.

I will also limit this to the USA and Canada. We can't eat the shipping anywhere else :-(

We will be short handed next week, so some may see a delay in processing the order till mid of next week.

    Thanks for your patience.

    Mark

    2 sets ordered!

Thought about going for 3, but considering I only needed 1 for my 2 LSi 15's, 2 was enough

Thinking about buying a plinth for each LSi 15 spiking those, and then putting spiked LSi 15's on them.

    That overkill?

Right now the LSi 15's are spiked and I have carpet on a concrete pad.

I got these spikes cause they are cooler looking and better than the ones I have.

Would you still recommend getting some plinths? If so would wood or granite be better?

I have a friend who sells granite wholesale so I could prob find a couple pieces of scrap at a very decent price (if not even free) to use.

I just want to mention two things...

    1. Since I have no idea how the sound will change with spikes, I can't say i would pick up on this deal considering I am still waiting for my OEM spikes to come from Polk directly.

    2. How dare you make falsified statements such as that. Who gives you the right? Sounds like defamation of character.

I have a pair of spikes for my LSi 15's from Polk, they cleared up the bass a bit, so I figure these would work better, and they look a heck of a lot nicer than the stock OEM ones
