    Mark,

    Here is the link:

    http://meniscusaudio.com/extra-points-p-1291.html

In order to get free shipping, choose Priority Mail and then they can enter the coupon code at the bottom of the payment screen. This will give them free shipping. If they happen to live in Michigan, we do have to collect sales tax.

Coupon code: Polkme It shouldn't be case sensitive.

I will also limit this to the USA and Canada. We can't eat the shipping anywhere else :-(

We will be short handed next week, so some may see a delay in processing the order till mid of next week.

    Thanks for your patience.

    Mark

And it says SOLD OUT. Can't see a way to order anyway - has he cut off sales for this?

    Thanks,

    Fred

Looks like mine should arrive TODAY...

And even better since the USPS doesnt normally leave packages at our apartment complex is the fact my wife (who works for the company we rent from) is filling in at the front office today.....

So she can snag them for me form the USPS guy rather than me having to figure a way to go to the post office and pick them up in person

One of the bags was not sealed... I'm thinking about demanding a refund for freshness.

Now all I have to do is figure out how to attach them to my SDA 2's.

If the SDA's have holes for spikes already they should just be screw spike onto rod and screw rod into SDA I believe....

The big reason these rocked is they were drop in ready so you didnt have to make holes any bigger to fit....

If your SDA's are not setup for spikes by default, then I have no idea lol

1C's never had spikes from the factory. One will need to drill the proper hole in the bottom after careful measuring for placement and most importantly depth. Insert the Hurricane-nuts and then screw the posts into the T-nuts and then screw the brass point onto the threaded posts.

You will probably want to use a drill guide to ensure A) proper depth B) the drilled hole is perpendicular to the base. If the hole is drilled crooked then your spikes will end up crooked.

This is where I'm at now... I'll double check when I get home, but I'm almost positive my SDA's are not configured for spikes (it has been roughly 4 years since I've seen the bottom of them, though). Of course, hurricane nuts were included with the spikes, but I don't think the skirting around the base of the speaker is thick enough to drill and thread a nut into without worrying about splitting the MDF. I believe some folks have added a chunk of 2x4 to the inside of the skirt at all 4 corners to give the nut something to be screwed into.

I'm sure I'll be posting a "how do I do this" thread soon.... with pictures, of course.

Edit - and yes, they're t-nuts, not hurricane nuts. My bad...

Picked mine up yesterday evening from my PO box and installed one set on my A7's. Quite a noticeable difference, although I would imagine some of that is having the tweeters a tad higher than they were before.

I'll polish up the other set, clear coat them and swap them onto the A7's when I get some time.

Candy was a nice touch. Similar to a seller tossing in a bag of microwave popcorn with some BD movies I bought off ebay.

I hate to sound stupid (but it never stops me) but the website talks about connecting the spikes to a drill to buff them out easier. How do you do that considering the spike is threaded and a drill would strip the threads off the post if you inserted it?

I just put the threaded rod in the spike and used a household scotch brite to buff it.Worked fine.
Then make sure all of the little green particles are off by blowing it off or using a compressed air can.
Then clear lacquer them and they look real nice.

Yeah I just installed them and figured eh, whatever lol. Maybe someday I will clear coat them.

Right now just liking the fact they are taller than the stock LSi ones. Just had to make sure not to twist too hard as the dowel was a bit taller than the LSi one...
