One word...

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

*Starts digging a hole in the backyard to bury amplifiers*

I repeat

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

My speakers measure a solid 7 ohms... somehow - someway my amplifiers keep catching on fire.

*Is not happy*

The good news is Klaus is replacing my amps entirely with full blown Kismets instead of a half and half and covering shipping. Otherwise I would be even more aggravated.

As much as this annoys me - I have yet to hear a brand that I like in comparison. I know thats crazy but I really like the way this gear sounds. Its phenomenal but I understand what you are saying.

wow ! I recall having a very nice conversation with Klaus one Sunday a year or so ago..

seems like a very nice guy..we talked about his amp, of course..almost pulled the trigger, but we went for flooring instead...was it a leaky cap or what ??

Klaus is great man - me and him have had our ups and downs but... I am just having no luck! lol

It looks like a cap explodes - leaked stuff everywhere and took out a few other components

That's strange that a 7 ohms speaker would cause the Amps to catch on fire.
My speakers are 4 ohms and my Amps handle it no problem.

Yeah the same amp keeps having problems. The right amp has been flawless...

Klaus thinks the transformer is faulty. Last time he changed out everything except the filter caps and the tranny

Keep your chin up, Trey. She'll be back in action soon enough. If he's sending you a new set, I'll wait a month or so before coming over to give her a good listen.

I had 4 Khartagos with Kismet upgrades. One of the amps blew out fuses all the time until I just gave up. Klaus came out many times and even took the amps back to his shop reportedly replacing almost everything. In the end I had enough and just moved on. A product that sounds great is not worth my time if it is unreliable.

Yeah I gotta admit - if this next set of amps does not perform reliably - they will be gone
