The one that made my month was when the transformer finally arrived but one of Klaus's cohorts dropped it in another amp and sold it without him knowing.

how long are people waiting normally to get their amps from him? Also why can't you get any info on his Kismet amps on the site?

I remember when I was looking at ideas at upgrading amps Odyssey crossed my mind.

I do like the look of the one amp currently out on the Gon that has the heat sinks and everything still on it.

wish they all still had that look :frown:

I have waited as little as a week (Khartago/Candela) and as much as basically an eternity - (Mono Extremes)...

When I send things in for repair.. it takes anywhere from a week to 3 months...

It really is a crap shoot.

The Kismet line has pretty much been out 6 months or so - very new line up and Klaus does not personally operate his site - a fan of his does.

I'm actually a pretty patient guy, so I could actually live with the wait. What bugs me most about the amps are those stupid plastic engraved plates that Klause uses to cover up unused holes in the chassis. I realize that this is a cost-saving measure, but to me it is a symbol of the whole company's lack of professionalism.

Really? The only way you would really KNOW that those holes are even there is if you take the cover off.

I actually like the engraved plates personally. Aluminum is expensive and I have had other amps that use the same chasis for multiple amps.

B&K uses like a 7 channel chasis for their 2 channel chasis - they just put a solid layer on the inside to fill in the holes.

I asked him to delay shipping a day.

They used to say Crown Vic police intercepters would explode from a rear hit.
What this has got to do w/ your amp I have no idea, but the thread of cars on fire seemed to follow through.......lw

Damn if his customer service isn't a bit.... "quirky". He took FOREVER to return one of my amps. Weeks go by without hearing a thing.

CHRISTMAS DAY he calls just to say he's finishing the repair and shipping next day. True story.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

I would like to update this thread...

Klaus had a very fast turn around as my amps will arrive today. He built me all new amps from the ground up...

One thing I would like to point out is I bought these amps used. I did have them upgraded to Kismet boards about a year ago...

What I am getting at - Klaus did not have to help me at all but he did.

    Thanks Klaus

And heres to hoping this one doesnt catch fire!

I thought he had a twenty year warranty, transferable to the second owner. Or are you the third owner?

I am the third or fourth owner. George Daniels was the second or third.

Without a doubt these are definitely beefier than before...

Symphonic Line caps - less caps but they are far faster than before and do not need bypass caps for filtering like the Odyssey caps...

Pretty sure the Transformer is twice the size of the original (by itself)

After reading all of this, it sounds like this guy does the work in his spare time in his garage... it sounds as if he orders parts one at a time. Hopefully you won't have any more fires

You are not to far off. I wont disclose where I got the pics - but I know you wont find them anywhere else on the internet.... :)

Klaus does this full time. Not to mention Symphonic Line gear is the ****.

Klaus has moved his entire operation since then.
