I got an email about 5 minutes ago saying order status was changed to confirmed but that doesn't mean much without a shipping notification or tracking number. I wonder how many of those cables they had in stock?

They definitely are pretty and look way more interesting than any other speaker cable I've ever owned with the magic boxes on the ends. I haven't had a chance to hook them up yet. I should have some time to do that tomorrow.

This might be some unwelcome news in that case... I got em hooked up and listenting to them now. I listened to a couple of pieces I was familiar with on the old cables (homemade from BJC 12 white with locking bananas) before switching to the Exp2 and listening to the same. It seems like I lost some bass with the Exp2. I definitely didn't expect that based on the marketing materials saying that these cables are all about the bandwidth with the multipole whatever.

I'm admittedly not the best person to ask, as I do not have the golden ears. But, to me, these sound roughly the same in terms of soundstage and imaging in the mid and treble as other decent quality cables you could buy or make yourself for the sale price. (It would have cost about the same for a pair of pre-terminated cables of the same length from BJC.) They might be taking some of the "analytical" edge off my Benchmark DAC1-to-B&K 200.2 combo, which isn't necessarily bad. But I am disappointed that the bass in particular seems softer and less sharp and distinct.

Thanks for the review, appreciated. Mine are still in the mail and I will comment once I hook them up!
    Thanks again.

Hey any feedback is greatly appreciated, I know a lot of it is system synergy and the cables that were used before. I'm running the canare starquads unterminated and hope they sound better, but if not I'll keep looking until I find what I'm looking for. Thanks for posting guys.

IMO, for the price you guys paid for these cables you will be hard pressed to find a better cable. when I was running them I loved them but then I had to try the Shotguns!!! No looking back now..

Honestly that's all I wanted to hear. I paid $50 so i'm not expecting miracles but as long as it's an improvement over my current cables i'll be happy.

Maybe I shouldn't have used the word disappointed. There definitely is a difference, but I'm hard pressed to describe it. Having listened to them for another hour or so and gone back and forth with my old cables, I think the MIT's are just marginally quieter across the board. The DAC1 doesn't have a continuous volume pot, and bumping it up one notch when switching from the old cables to the new put the low bass back where it was for the most part. The MIT's still seem just slightly indistinct in the low to mid-bass to me.

Bear in mind they've got less than 2 hours on them at this point, so if you subscribe to the burn-in philosophy then these guys are still stretching after a long sleep. All in all, I do think they're a good cable, but I have to say I have some newfound respect for the stuff that BJC sells too. I'm gonna be TL'ing my 2B's and I'll burn the MIT's in with the tweeters and caps and give them another fair shake when it's all done.

I'm really curious to hear what everyone else thinks when they get theirs too!

Based on your honest words all I can say is thank goody goody gum drops I never paid the msrp thats like $200 for a 10 ft pair ?

I think it may work out by taming the thunderous , tight , accurate bottom end authority my emotiva upa5 gives me

I dont see how anythings gona triumph over my monoprice oxygen free copper cables with bananas but I am gona do a shootout anyways

That's why I wanted to try them, I think my speaker cables are my weakest link in my system, probably followed by my speakers. If they sound better then it'll make me want better speakers ever more.

Passing judgement on brand new cables is just silly. Ya'll need to relax and get at least 200 hours on them before saying anything.

You could always use one cable on a center channel. Get 200+ hours use out of it and then put both on your mains, swap and see if you can follow the bouncing ball.
