Thanks F1nut, got it ordered tonight. I have all but the first on vinyl, but this cd collection will look good on the mantle and easier to take in the car! :) Thanks again for pointing the deal out.

I already have the box set they put out a few years ago, but I had to get this. I saw it a while back, but thought it was a little pricey. I guess this is as good as it's going to get.

I don't really like the mixdown on the set I have. I hope they did this one more in line with the albums...

Be sure to link through Jesse's link. I did a search for Led Zep from Rhino's home page and it's listed at full price. Also at first when you add it to your cart it shows full price but when you continue it auto-fills a coupon code and the price changes to the sale price. You get free std USPS shipping too.

LOL... Page loaded kinda slow... last thing to show was the sale price so I'm like, "What's the big deal 'bout $173.99??? ... Oh... nevermind."

    ... and free shipping...

WTF... Can you ever have too many Zep boxes?

Thanks for the heads up and God Bless Rhino Records...

Ant, the reviews I've read (mostly on Amazon) are all over the board about whether these are improvements or not. Some say yes, some say no, some feel the Japanese pressings have better quality control which equals slightly better sound.

I bought it primarily because of the awesome packaging and as long as they aren't like Mothership as far as mastering then I'll be fine with it. I still have all the original cd releases from the early day of cd's.

I have the remaster of Physical Graffiti and in some area's the originals sound better and in some area's the remaster sounds better.

Anyone get theirs in the mail yet? I know the site listed that it would be 2 to 3 weeks for delivery but some over at the Steve Hoffman forums are getting theirs in the mail. I am in Canada so it will probably take a little longer.

So.... for those who have received this set, what's the verdict on the sound quality of these discs?

I can't find an email confirmation, but I did order it w/o setting up a Rhino account. I'm not concerned on the Rhino end, but more about here at work. We moved to a new building and the mail person is clueless and delivers packages to wherever she feels like it. We've called the Post Master General on several occasions and still she is as inconsistent as ever. Just wanted an idea when to expect it.

Duh, I just found my email confirmation. Hopefully it comes soon. I ordered it on the 15th and with ML King day on the 17th I don't expect it until next week or later based on 55LS70's post. I'm in IL and he's in WI so I would think delivery dates would be close.
