started a new thread--the 7U's are burning in the sound is very detailed,,smooth,,soundstage is deep and wide,,lots of "air" room filling,,and very involving.I'll let Tom write a review the next time he comes by and gets his discerning ears on them.

Dude, I have to repair both of my amps first. I'd rather have sound back first. Then I can and will do the crossovers. Without having my own business anymore and having to work for "the man", I don't have thousands leftover every month anymore. It's gonna take a while.

    Damnit.

oh,, I forgot-- vocals are at an entirely different level.I'm getting a soundstage more akin to the Taylos monitors,,which is very respectable.

I was not expecting it either,,remember how the soundstage really went wide and seep in the loft at CF-09? Thats how these are sounding now--they kinda just suck you in,,and then,,bam--there you are,,you know what I mean.

I'm sure the room has something to do with it,, one thing that did kinda' surprise me was the overall "tone",, no "edginess" the most expensive in there was the Hovland,(TWEETER), two Bennic electrolytics' and a Solen,,.With some speakers,,say,, an upright bass is being plucked,,and you can feel it,,and kinda' get your arms around the sound/instrument,,thats the best way I can describe the current state of these right now.

Oh yeah, I know exactly what you are talking about. Man, now I'm really looking forward to hearing them. We'll talk soon about when I can come down.....let's let them break in a bit, though. Trey's got many times better with time, I would expect the same with yours.

he,he,, I have NEVER heard these things put out bass like they are now.Granted,,it's not earth shattering, but certainly more than I am accustomed too with them.If I sound 'scattered" it's because we are spring cleaning,,so I'll vacume,,take a break,,go listen,,vacume,,listemn,, you get the idea. Now all of this with a 40 watt tube amp.

Id like to thank you guys for allowing me to modify your crossovers. It is like candy to me -- like a new adventure with everyone I get...

Polk crossovers always seem to be kind of a pain in the ****. ;)

    Thanks again! :)
