So, I'm grabbing an S2 WGA soon, semi local ($50)...possibly.

Another guy just 40 minutes away has an Innovative Wideband, says he likes it alot better than AEM's digital wideband (that I've been eyeballing). Only 4 months old, $100 for it good?

That and I hope my 3" o2 housing comes in already. Then I'm thinking the 3" downpipe is my next purchase and have it all done up along with the 577cc injectors when you send'em out Mole!

Oh, and let's not forget my damn intake manifold. Still sitting in the Mopar Box!

Which Innovative wideband? I run an LC-1 on the Mazda, and i like it, though the install can be somewhat of a pain depending on what you're trying to do with it. It's a better unit than the AEM Uego, but that's also dependant of what you're trying to get out of it.

If you don't need to datalog, then the Uego is one of the more painless and easy to use units out there.

If you want new and some REAL functionality, i wouldn't go with anything less than the Innovative LC-1 or Zeitronix ZT-2/3. ZT-3 is cheaper.

But yes, $100 is a good price for an LC-1, depending on what comes with it.

When you put a wideband in, are you still going to be retaining stock o2 sensors to give a signal to the ECU? If not, then you'll NEED the LC-1 or ZT-2/3 so you can send a simulated narrowband signal to your ECU so the car doesn't run like crap.

You also have an SRT-4. They run more boost than the PTGTs.

Reinstalled a modified 93 OCT tune, and reset my PCM. The GT is pulling hard through the gears, spiking consistently at 18lbs and holding 15. It's a bat out of hell, but not as quick as my old Miata....still quick.

Yeah, I contemplated the AEM (digital) and Innovative and it just comes down to datalogging really. Asked a couple of guys that have run both and they say they're both just as accurate, though a few times the Innovative was just a bit more. Idk, I'm just getting parts and setting them aside before working on the GT that way I knock everything out at once with little downtime. Either here or at Mole's

he wont need the WB to datalog, he has the DSP that can datalog already.

we keep the stock o2 sensors and use the one that comes with the WB.

you know you can adjust your boost with the DSP correct? but with that 18 spike i bet it feels nice. check to see what your Knock count is at.

get the AEM Uego, you wont need any of the extra with the other one. the DSP will do all the datalogging you will ever need.

Ah so you guys use an additional bung for your WB o2 sensor along with the stockers? Mannn.... so you end up with three o2 sensors? That's messy.

But in light of the new info, i agree. If you don't need datalogging or narrowband simulation, the AEM Uego is pretty much the way to go. Easiest to install, no calibration, just plug it in and go. (I don't like the way it looks, but that's purely subjective)

The Innovate also has capabilities to read lower AFRs than the AEM, but that shouldn't be a huge deciding factor.

yup, 3 o2 sensors. we add an extra bung to the Downpipe for the WB o2 sensor.

yup on the Uego. best and easiest IMO. i had the NGK AFx WB before and it was nice too, but have the UEGO now.

no need for the lower AFRs for us. anything in the 10s is rich as heck for us

They've been fine for 180k miles, they'll survive. These things dipped into the 9s from factory.

The oil does smell like gas pretty bad after 3000 miles, though.

Tuned? What's that? Just a stock ecu with a chip. I'm manipulating fuel pressure and ignition timing for the rest of it, really. I'm not tuned for an AFR, i'm just tuned to not go lean and to have lots of headroom when/if my boost controller freaks out and dumps 30psi in my lap. Run 20psi daily for now. With the fuel setup i've got, i should be fine to go to 24psi or so on the CT26-57 turbo it'll have come spring.

It runs and drives like a top.

It's a stone age ECU, anything 75% throttle position and above it just goes into open loop and dumps ALL the fuel available to it. Works fine, nothing wrong with it.

Hahaha... welcome to 20+ year old turbo Japanese cars. It's a FAR cry from the complicated and sophisticated stuff you and Freddy are working with.

Point in my favor though: I don't have to retune everytime i do work to the car. I have a built head with a nasty cam, and a shortened/ported/extrude honed intake manifold w/ a Ford 4.6 throttle body that will all go on at the same time i put the bigger turbo on come spring. I won't have to do anything besides slap it all on and re-set my boost controller.

Hey, it was good enough to trap 118mph in the quarter mile on street tires, so it can't be all THAT bad, right?

It is pretty funny to see 90+psi on the fuel pressure gauge, though.
