Maybe someone can answer this on here instead of posting a separate thread on it.

Adcom 5802 (non common ground amp).

Want to use this amp for SDA's (with interconnect cable in place).

How exactly do I do this. Do I use a piece of speaker wire from one ground of the terminals to the ground on the other channel? Not sure if this is how people 'strap' their Adcoms to make them common ground.

    Thanks

Freddy from what I understand the 5802 is just two 565's monos in the same chasis IIRC. That being said, you should be able to strap the ground from the right output binding post to the negative ground left binding post at the back of the amp.

When I had my 565's that is how I made them common ground plus an Adcom rep told to also strap the chasis which in this case shouldn't be necessary.

Has anyone seen the website where the mad scientist looking guy puts manufactured goods and such in his blender and grinds the shi# out of it . . .

I only bring it up as I just unpacked a (once nice) vintage tuner I bought last week on eBay.

    The tuner measures about 1.75 X 10 X 18" . . . the box chosen was 15 X 16 X 16".

Since no single dimension of the box was large enough to allow for proper positioning, the tuner was shipped FACE UP, corner to corner, resting on 2 delicate level controls (potentiometers) located on the back.

Then an empty brown paper Kroger bag and maybe 1/3 of a cubic foot of packing material (in the 2+ cubic foot space) were tossed in for good measure.

Add in United States Postal Service and I now have a Crown FM Two tuner that was "shaken, AND stirred"

A 585 is basically two 565's in one chassis. The 5802 is a completely different animal. Tie the right and left grounds together.

So, I'm grabbing an S2 WGA soon, semi local ($50)...possibly.

Another guy just 40 minutes away has an Innovative Wideband, says he likes it alot better than AEM's digital wideband (that I've been eyeballing). Only 4 months old, $100 for it good?

That and I hope my 3" o2 housing comes in already. Then I'm thinking the 3" downpipe is my next purchase and have it all done up along with the 577cc injectors when you send'em out Mole!

Oh, and let's not forget my damn intake manifold. Still sitting in the Mopar Box!

thats kinda high for a S2 WGA IMO! i like the AEM WB. best one for the $ and you hardly ever hear about any issues with them. are you planning on getting that full exhaust from that kid? he said he would drop it off at my house for you if you did.

$50 is alot? I just need a PCM controlled WGA that'll hold more boost than my stock one. Don't tell me you have one laying around!

As far as WB, I want to get one but if I do I don't know when I'd install it. It'd have to be once the 3" housing is in place.

And the exhaust? He said he'd knock off what...$25? Needswings has the 3" DP with cutout for 285 or without cutout for only 210. Wish it was the same as the SRT-4 but ours is slightly longer where it bolts up otherwise I would've grabbed one from these Norcalsrt-4 guys.

Mandrelexhaustsystems also has a 3" DP for my car for even less, with a hi-flow cat welded.

What do you think? Oh and I'm seeing 12-13lbs of boost in my GT.

    na on the s2 wga

if you get just a Dp get the cutout, if full exhaust get no cat. the high flow cat wont help you at all. try and talk him into knocking off $50

WB o2 sensor goes into the Dp. 12-13 is the spike or hold? you should be seeing a 16/17 spike.

    Roger, NO on S2 WGA.

So, spend a few more bucks and go with the cutout on the DP. It's already semi-loud, and not that it bothers me but I'd hate to attract the wrong crowd (police). Really though, cars are the least of their worries here so I might just go with it anyway. But the price does come close to what that guy is selling his exhaust for. I'll talk to him and tell him to drop it off at your place, and tell him that I'd want $50 off. No payment until it's at your house IMO.

As for my boost, 12-13lbs......spike? It's the highest I see at WOT through 3-5k on my gauge (it remains at 11lbs). I'll have to check but on the PT Forums I've been reading that the '03 GT should normally spike at 11lbs of boost. 93OCT tuned I should see 12lbs if I have no boost leaks.

Btw, I guess because it's been really cold here...I guess I'm spiking less than I would/should be due to my stock WGA being PCM controlled?

meant that i have no S2 WGA here. now the thing with the cutout, are you planning on getting the e-cutout with it or are you gonna get under the car everytime to open it up? have you read up on it? if you get a full 3" exhaust and its a lil loud, you can add a resinator to it. i would pay him when he dropped it off for ya.

that just seems low to me. i know my SRT spiked 17 bone stock!!!

Ah k. Well I've yet to find an S2 WGA anywhere and I did hear about one on the SRTForums but due to my low post count I can't even view that section.

03-04 PT GT's are supposed to spike at 11lbs, while 05-07 are supposed to spike at 12-13lbs.

Mine spiked today at 15lbs+, holding 12-13lbs so I'm happy about that.

And yep about the cold weather! But I thought the PCM would provide less boost because it's not trying to compensate for anything.
